THIRD PART OF THE TERRIBLE ALPINE TREK SAGA - STAY AWAY

Today, I once again attempted to reason with the impenetrable fortress of incompetence that is Alpinetrek's customer service, only to be met with further disappointment and frustration. Upon calling, I was greeted by yet another display of rudeness from a lady who claimed that the refund investigation had concluded, and they had no intention of refunding me. This blatant falsehood only fueled my determination to seek justice. I demanded to see the evidence from Evri, the courier supposedly responsible for the debacle. Predictably, my request was met with refusal, followed promptly by the dial tone. Undeterred, I dialed back and was fortunate enough to speak with Taylor, a somewhat more empathetic soul, who confirmed what I had suspected all along: the investigation was still ongoing. The blatant lie from the previous representative only served to confirm the depths of Alpinetrek's deceit. they cant even follow up to check why a 10 day investigation is taking 30 days seems like a lie to me. both phone calls were recorded and i now have proof that they are lying. no doubt they will say taylor was confused now. It's been over 30 days since this ordeal began, with no end in sight. Countless ignored emails, dismissive phone calls, and an unwavering attitude problem have only served to compound my frustration. My solicitor is now actively working on this, and the financial ombudsman has been engaged. Additionally, my TikTok review has garnered significant attention, with over 150,000 views and counting. Alpinetrek, the time for excuses is over. I demand my refund immediately, along with an apology for the countless hours wasted and the disrespect shown. Your days of mistreating customers with impunity are numbered.

In response to Alpinetrek’s feeble attempt at damage control, let me make one thing abundantly clear: their sudden apology for their abysmal customer service is nothing more than a desperate attempt to salvage their tarnished reputation. It’s laughable how they conveniently express remorse only after I’ve publicly aired my grievances on platforms like TripAdvisor and TikTok, and threatened legal action. If they truly cared about customer satisfaction, they would have rectified the situation long before it escalated to this point. Yes, they acknowledge their rudeness – but only because it’s now a matter of public record. Their apology rings hollow, devoid of any genuine remorse or accountability. Hanging up on a customer mid-conversation after failing to state the names of the employees who were being extremely rude is inexcusable, regardless of the circumstances. To add insult to injury, it’s now been well over the promised 10 days for their so-called investigation, and I’m still left in the dark without a resolution. Any good company would have chased it up by now and made the refund but clearly they dont care. Under the Consumer Rights Act, it is their responsibility to ensure timely delivery and address any issues promptly. Yet, they continue to shirk their obligations, leaving me out of pocket and utterly frustrated. they chose the courier which were known for bad deliveries and no deliveries its totally their fault. Let this serve as a warning to anyone considering doing business with Alpinetrek: steer clear. Their disregard for customer welfare and blatant disregard for consumer rights make them unworthy of your hard-earned money. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere. if i am not refunded within the next 48 hours my solicitor will be in further contact to discuss next steps.

I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT, under any circumstances, purchase from Alpinetrek. My recent experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge everyone to steer clear and save themselves the headache. Let me walk you through the ordeal I’ve endured. After placing an order, which I eagerly awaited, it never arrived. The fault lies with their chosen courier, Evri, whose incompetence knows no bounds. Alpinetrek’s response? A blasé suggestion to wait 10 days for an investigation. Fine, I thought, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. But oh, how wrong I was. Fast forward 21 agonizing days later, multiple ignored emails, and a phone call later, I found myself confronting an abyss of rudeness and ineptitude. The colleague I spoke to was not just unhelpful, but outright disrespectful. And don’t get me started on their so-called manager, who epitomizes the term “customer disservice.” When I requested the names of these individuals for my records, they brazenly refused. As if their disregard for my concerns wasn’t enough, they had the audacity to hang up on me mid-conversation, washing their hands of any responsibility. I have meticulously documented every interaction, every email, and every futile attempt at resolution. Rest assured, Alpinetrek, you’ll be hearing from my solicitor soon. And as for my 85,000 TikTok followers, they’ll be the first to know of your abysmal treatment of customers. Save yourself the hassle, the stress, and the inevitable disappointment. Alpinetrek is a sinking ship of customer service calamity, and I implore you to take your business elsewhere.

I was not really sure what to expect but very happy with my order

I was not really sure what to expect, considering the mixed reviews seen on Trustpilot, but I decided to buy a backpack that was much cheaper than the initial retail price (and I could not find it in this colour anywhere else in the UK). I ordered this bag on Friday, the 19th of April, late in the evening, and I received it on Saturday, the 27th of April, in the Morning, delivered by Evri from Germany. I did not need to pay any extra tax (the backpack was £38.48 + delivery cost). From my experience, everything went totally fine, and the bag arrived in top condition on the day indicated. I received regular updates from the company. I just have the feeling that they do not work at the weekend, so I would recommend ordering on a Monday morning if you want to get your order faster. I would also recommend them to use DPD rather than Evri but this time, Evri did a top job. So, no complaints at all and a very happy customer.

I had to return my boots as the wrong size was sent. I paid for the return postage on 27th March and haven't even received any acknowledgement that they have recevied my return and no refund has been made even though they state it should take no longer than 21 days max. It has now been 29 days and i've recevied zero contact regarding my refund, this is MY money they are withholding from me. It says in their FAQ if it goes beyond the 21 days to contact them which I have done a few times now however they don't respond to any of my emails so I'm completely in the dark as to why I still have not received my refund a month after sending the shoes back to them. I've even sent an email with proof of postage but again they haven't even acknowledged this either so it's all a complete waste of my time, all my emails to support are just being ignored which just shows a complete lack of respect for their customers. This is a very dissapointing experience as they don't bother to stick to their own guidelines and I now don't know if i will ever get my refund as they won't reply to me. It is also very time consuming having to constantly email them and take photos of receipts especially when it is getting me nowehere and just being continuously ignored.

I ordered an item and was regularly updated during the process. The only negative was that they sent an email that I would receive it in 2 days which fell on a Saturday so I had to change the delivery to a delivery point. 3 days later and still nothing so there was a slight delay there. Unfortunately the item didn't fit so I decided to send it back. Only after that, for to me unknown reason, I decided to do some research on this company. I found out that they are, in fact based in Germany (that would explain the delay) and to my horror I saw all the negative comments that I would never see my money again! I don't like confrontation but I was ready to fight to get my money back. Contrary to the item being shipped, I received no communication regarding the refund even when the item was confirmed as delivered. And then...an email flew to my mailbox that the refund is being processed. I'm sorry, I'm downloading the full Karen mode and you give me my money back? Just like that?? Without a fight?? I almost felt insulted! I don't understand what these complaining people are on about! They must be spoiled by the Amazon next day delivery because yes, if you expect that, you will join them in disappointment. If, however, you plan properly and give yourself enough time, you will have a pleasant shopping experience.

I read some of the reviews and did consider not using this site but I’m glad that I did. My partners ski coat, sale price was cheaper than any shop I visited in London. Coat arrived from Germany in 5 days, no hidden costs. Packaged in a very strong box. I was so impressed with the service and great sale prices that I also ordered a coat for next winter. Good communication throughout, tracking information with Evri. My coat also arrived in 5 days. We are both very happy customers, thank you Alpinetrek.
