I asked on Twitter if it was possible to extend the expiry date on an Argos gift card as the original item I ordered was not in stock and the other items on my wishlist were also out of stock. Argos replied suggesting that this would be possible but then a week later when the gift cards expired and I asked how to go about extending them, they said I had been given the wrong information and I could not do that. If they had told me that a week earlier instead of giving me the wrong information, then I would obviously have spent the gift cards on something, as it was the week before Christmas, rather than losing £140 which I cannot afford to (unlike their CEO, I am not on a multi million pound annual salary). It's very poor customer service to lie / give false information to a customer which then causes them to lose money as a result of that information - they should honour their original offer to extend the gift cards. Instead they have just taken £140 of my money and kept it - clearly all their emails and marketing guff about helping people during a cost of living crisis is just PR nonsense.
Can only describe this as traumatic. Purchased a washer dyer, delivered 8/4, but was faulty and damaged my clothes. Reported the next day and offered a return. Well they changed their mind and said I needed an engineer to check it before accepting the return to rule out if it was plumbed in incorrectly. Sought legal advice and they said this is a trick as once you accept a repair, then you lose the right to reject the order and they will often claim to check but actually trick you into agreeing to a repair. So I cancelled the visit, Argos then assured me that they would get an engineer to look and NOT repair, this was today and I had 2 people come to repair it again! So they have lied and tried to trick me into keeping the item. They also know there's a burning smell, so they are happy to risk mine and my family's lives for their own greed. Argos are the worst company I've ever dealt with - happy to risk lives for profit
lovely service in bridgwater today, such brilliant staff
The hoover lost its Suction power with 2 weeks. Extremely disappointed
Basically even though I told argos there was a fraud by someone bought something from argos using my bank card, and even though I replaced my bank card someone tried again to scam me pretending to be your company offering over £200 in compensation for my broken microwave
quick and easy to order and receive
Is it very good
Everything was what I expected as always
Robert customer services helped me today carrying my parsol to my car excellent work argoes customer service experience recommended thank you so much today .
Bit miffed really. New electric cooker. Delivery was great (5 star) but can't review the product because I can't use it yet. Decided against paying for the installation as we have an electrician in the family & the price is frankly a rip-off. BUT there is no electrical power cable. Nothing Nada Zilch so I have to go and buy 1 tomorrow. (Sandwiches for dinner tonight kids.) £450 for the cooker + £20 delivery + £20 to take away my old cooker but you can't even give me a power cable? Also can't register the product as the link Argos have sent me doesn't work.
