DO NOT ORDER from this company. Toys are subpar and treats awful. You can not reach them directly! Only through email. I have tried to fix an issue for two weeks and all I get are stupid emails from a dog. They take over $50 a month and are not reputable I sm going to the BEtter Business Bureau

Overrated, not worth the price

Not worth the price. This box is so overrated. I'd much rather support my local pet stores. After searching the company, I'm disgusted to learn that they have used people's content on Instagtam/Tiktok after being told by the creator that they could not. This is not a company that anyone should support.

Bark Box use to be great

Bark Box use to be great. Now instead of sending treats my pups like, they are pushing all vegetarian options. They don't like them!! They won't eat them at all!! They are discontinuing the most popular items (which makes no sense at all) to push vegetarian options. Not due to any request, just because. Dogs are not vegetarians!!! 2 months in a row we've received all vegetarian options, 2 months in a row I'm throwing away treats they will not eat. I've tried to donate them, but I've been told by shelters they are not liked either. Bark Box suggests an all toy box. Absolutely not!!! Both of my babies look forward to the treats and toys. Why would I spend that amount of money on 2 bark boxes on toys only, when I could buy them cheaper else where? They need to go back to providing items that our pups love.

was trying to take advantage of a special promo and subscribe for the 6 mo promo. I tried to use a code, to which it was denied, claiming it's only available for New Customers (which i would be!). Also, i tried to take advantage of the extra toy club for 9.00 mo/ plus free shipping. Nowhere on my write up did it reflect any of these updates, and when i try to call customer service, it's a pre recorded message telling you to go to a site online, where you only have the option to chat online with customer asst. , but when i tried, i was told THEY would get me someone who could help very shortly, but no one ever came! and no one ever answered any of my questions at all!!!! I was in the process of creating a acct with bark box, and the experience was very bad and confusing and or misleading. The reason i wanted to join is because we have a new puppy and he loves toys but tears them all up and my neighbor says she's a member and gets toys every month and she has given a few to our pup and they last longer than any of the other one's ive tried. But after the experience i have had so far,(which isn't even that far in or long) i would have to say that if this is a reflection of their company and it's customer service, then i definitely do NOT want ANY THING to do with it. Bark Box has been very disappointing and frustrating, to say the LEAST.

Toys are not great quality

Customer service is great, toys are a disappointment. When I adopted my girl, a friend gave me some of her dogs bark box toys. I was so happy with them, I signed up for a subscription. Not sure what happened but the difference in quality of toys from my friend versus the ones that came in the box is huge! Her toys were sturdy and interesting - several rip and reveals that kept my pup engaged for a long time with the reveal of a sturdy squeaky toy. What we received were toys with crinkles and squeaks. Per usual, my dog ripped them up but, instead of revealing a solid toy, she discovered stuffing, a layer of plastic and a flimsy squeaker - instead of a toy she could play with for a long time, I was cleaning up stuffing and bits of plastic so she didn’t digest them. They were great about replacing the toys I was concerned about but plastic sheeting in a dog toy is unacceptable.

Best Subscription bar none.

First: The toys I have a 70 lb Bernese puppy and the nylon chews don’t stand up that well to her but neither do any of the store purchased nylon like Nylabones or Benebones. However, they have quickly replaced any that I’ve been dissatisfied with - more than a few - and also suggested I could sand them down - something I’d never thought of. Second: Customer service may be the best I’ve ever dealt with. When they sent a box of rubber toys and my pup prefers nylon, I contacted them and they immediately sent nylon replacements. I think we’ve gotten twice the toys from this company because they are so quick to standby sign their 100% guarantee. My dog doesn’t like to play that much otherwise I would keep this subscription for a lifetime. Highly, highly recommend. To note, another toy subscription company that I tried, has not canceled my subscription, even though I have requested it several times paid for month to month subscription. BARK was willing to cancel my 6 month subscription even though it’s not the policy until your time is fulfilled. That alone made me keep it and I’ve been satisfied with their replacement toys and CS is beyond stellar.

Zero customer service!

Barkbox used to be so amazing, with excellent customer service. I started think a year or 2 years ago, and anytime I had an issue (such as needing to switch to toys only, or wanting more toys, or softer toys) someone promptly responded and would help. Now, I can barely get a hold of someone (tried 3-4 times to start a chat before I could actually get to someone), they take 5+ min to respond per answer (so a chat about one issue easily takes up 45 minutes of time), and they are rarely helpful. Currently chatting with someone regarding a box that was presumably lost in transit (hasn’t updated in 10 days). When I stated that I didn’t want to add another box on (I cancelled my subscription so this is my last month), I just wanted them to resend Feb box. They indicated that they can’t resend Feb since there are limited quantities (understandable) and they could send me cityscapes, but they can’t send me a toys only box (which is what I currently get). That’s a bit ridiculous that they can’t send a toys only box in ANY theme as a replacement for the one lost in transit. Now I’ve been waiting for a response regarding a refund for 15+ minutes. The toys are great, but shoddy customer service and shipment times are extremely unreliable. Also interesting to see how many of the good reviews are “invited” reviews, ie barkbox likely gave free boxes in exchange for a good review.

Subscription automatically renews...

I wish my 6 month subscription didn't automatically renew, I was expecting it to stop sending boxes but it continued on. My dog wasnt a fan of most of the treats, or the toys. Kind of a waste for me. The fact that there is an automated response for everything is annoying to. I want to speak to a real person.

Inconsistent and late shipping

First off I love Bark's toys so I signed up for a subscription. My problem is, I get billed the last day of the month and they don't ship for 2 weeks and the packages are constantly delayed so I don't get them until the 24th or 25th of the month and then I am close get billed again. Bark SHOULD NOT bill until they are closer to shipping and upgrade their shipping services so it doesn't take 10 days to receive! For the last few months I've had to complain to customer service and they don't seem to care and tell me to go to FedEx's website to track.

Awesome Experience, and Easy!!

Cannot say enough great things about Bark Box! My dog completely loves the treats, the toys are all amazing, and the themes each month are such a treat! When I had an issue, I talked to customer service- it was easy and quick! They immediately helped me and fixed the issue, highly recommend Bark Box!

I have had nothing but great…

I have had nothing but great experiences with BarkBox. Their customer service is excellent. We had the regular box and cancelled after the 6 month subscription because we had too many toys. We tried the bright box for their teeth, but I wasn’t super impressed with it, customer service cancelled and refunded the money for the remaining subscription months. I recently purchased a 6 month subscription to their super chewer box, but my dogs aren’t huge fans, however they love the toys for the regular box. I reached out to customer service and they switched the rest of our subscription to the regular box and refunded the difference and sent my dog a free toy! Great customer service and good products.

Not good at all

Not good at all. Twice now they have sent boxes that are just bad toys. Essentially rubber bricks that are unusable. Support is more interested in sticking it to my and telling me I have a subscription to honor. But yet they have asked me my dogs preferences multiple times now and they keep doing the opposite.

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money! The toys are definitely cute but don't hold up and I just received Fourth of July toys in December. They use bait and switch to get you to sign up and then send you random toys that they have laying around. I'm a second month customer, so a new customer and couldn't be more dissatisfied.

I subscribed for the 6 month plan which you cannot cancel till the agreed term is up. The main issue i have the they lack variety and their website keeps glitching when trying adjust the "toughness" level for toys and they send little to no variety in toys. I got ALL nylon toys in the last box. Two of which my dog had zero interest in.

DO NOT BUY A SUBSCRIPTION

The toys and treats are okay. My dog shredded a toy and I still have yet to be sent a tracking label so I can return it/exchange it. Also PLEASE do not start a subscription because even after you cancel it they will continue to charge you. I asked to cancel and not receive anymore boxes but my email has been ignored. Did I miss something in the fine print? That’s a scam to me so I’m going to report it to my CC company.

Do not start a subscription with them! They will keep charging you monthly even after you cancel. I didnt like it right away so I told them to cancel. They said you have to pay for four monthly boxes before you can cancel. Ok so I pay for 4 more months and they still kept charging me! I called my credit card company but they somehow got my new card number and kept charging me past the four months! I contacted them again and they said yes we saw you cancelled but we thought you might change your mind!?? What? I was very specific, I dont trust this company at all

Predatory cancelation process

Let me start with the best part is the toys in the boxes. My large lab mix really enjoys them and lasts longer than most other toys. There are entirely too many treats in the boxes and end up throwing them away. Now for the bad. Over the last two years two of my boxes have failed to arrive and one was replaced. The other was not. When trying to cancel, the process is not straightforward and requires multiple questions before going through. Last year I thought I canceled and was charged again this year. I contacted BarkBox and they are not budging on refunding my subscription in which no boxes have shipped. Customer service is terrible and even called me by the wrong name. I will no longer support or recommend this company. Update after posting this review and a few others a refund was finally issued but took a week after countless emails. I would have preferred to have handled it in a few emails.
