I have had many orders from this company without any complaints but my last order was the worse delivery I have ever had, the driver was very rude, obnoxious and unhelpful, he began by calling me demanding directions and when I tried to provide him with them he told me to be quite and them informed me of the size of the vehicle he was driving, eventually I had to get my 90 year old father to go out at discomfort to himself and try and direct him in which the driver was very rude and would not listen to him and other neighbours and just left the order on a public grass area a long way away from the house. I emailed the company with my complaint but have not received any correspondence with them, so unless your delivery address is very easy to find and there is a quick simple place to offload it then don't use this company.

We have ordered before with no issues. I ordered online on 7 April. This time one of the items was not in stock and I was advised by email that the stock would be in on Friday 12 April and delivery would be made Monday 15 if possible or failing that Tuesday 16. As I had added an additional amount of decking boards, I phoned to confirm that the new amount would be delivered with my original order. On this call I was advised that delivery would now take place on Wednesday 17 April and that it would be early doors, his words, as it was on the first delivery of the day. I phoned at 9.30 on Wednesday ,only to confirm that the order was still coming and if they could give a delivery time. I had arranged my day to be in âearly doorsâ and was wanting to know if I had to rearrange my plans. I was then told that the delivery wasnât coming at all as the stock that had been due the previous Friday, hadnât arrived. I was annoyed that no one had contacted me to advise this and even phoning the day before I was told that the order was planned for the Wednesday. My point is that having had at least 3 calls, updating my order, checking the full delivery was coming, no one thought to advise that potentially it wasnât coming as the stock hadnât arrived in. Iâm not happy with this service and as I have started the project and need it completed soon, I had no option but to cancel the whole order and purchase it elsewhere, which incidentally was delivered in full today. The member of staff who took my cancellation, after explaining he was only able to refund the extra decking boards that I had ordered over the phone advised that I had to contact Beatsons direct to cancel the rest of the order, which I did. He did apologise but Iâm still unhappy with the level of service and lack of communication with my order. I do appreciate that stock doesnât come when planned but this needs to be advised to the customer and then that allows them to know whatâs happening and not wait in for a delivery thatâs not coming.
Quick and easy order process. And very reasonable. Also I ordered the wrong size of fence slats .. the guy I spoke to was very helpful. Phoned me back and got the new slats delivered within a couple of days .

Ordered skirting board on line. System is bit confusing because you can only order in metre multiples yet branches canât supply exactly what you have ordered and paid for. My order was passed to Penicuik for processing. I was contacted by Paul who said they didnât hold enough stock in Penicuik but arranged for stock to be collected from Dunfermline. It wasnât the lengths we were expecting but Paul fixed this out and kept me updated including the delivery date. The whole process took place without delay and was handled efficiently.
