I purchased a pair of boots. I have to say that they are m, without doubt, the most comfortable pair of boots that I have ever owned. However, after 6 months they have started falling apart and splitting. I have emailed, without any response. I am very disappointed.

The low score is because……Both pairs of shoes where by GABOR they where the same size 41 one pair was too small and one was a perfect fit but had a fault on the left toe which was obvious you couldn’t exchange because it was the last pair….very disappointing because they were perfect and I loved them I would have prefered not to have received a damage pair in the first place.
Have had the best customer experience ever with Charles Clinkard, ordered some shoes to be delivered to my local store for my daughters wedding and they arrived within a couple of days, unfortunately although I ordered my normal size they were too small so returned them with no problem at all excellent friendly staff in Newbury, I then reordered them in the next size up and again they were delivered very quickly. However one of the shoes had a sale sticker in the shoe with a sale price £20 less than I had paid, emailed Charles Clinkard and within an hour I had received a response asking me to submit photos of the sticker which I did, less than a couple of hours later I received an email advising me that a refund for the difference was being processed. This is customer service at its best and I wont hesitate to buy from again. So thank you Michael from Charles Clinkard!
Unfortunately, the trainers I ordered for my husband didn't fit sobive had to return. Charles Clinkard strongly advises to send back using tracking. I paid £8.50 for next day tracked delivery which took 5 days! So far my account hasn't been informed of this return but hopefully will be acknowledged within the next day or so. This has definitely made me think twice before ordering from this company again. I do realize the carrier company was at fault but obviously shopping online especially for shoes is difficult and having to pay £8.50 to return items is unaffordable!
I write to express my great satisfaction with my visit to the Milton Keynes branch of Charles Clinkard. My wife who died recently was a huge fan of the store and visited every time we went shopping to Milton Keynes. It was a sad visit given that I needed to inform the manager to close the mailing of promotional information. Oliver, the manager, was the absolute professional in handling the sensitivity of the situation. Oliver is a man who obviously loves his work and this has been evident over the many visits I paid with my wife through the years. It has also been evident on all those visits with the style and grace of his staff. Always a joy to visit and I thank him so much for his deep interest in customer care. Be very very careful when ordering from Charles Clinkard, if there are any issues with the item, it will cost you heavily to send them back to them. In my case I ordered size 9 shoes for my father, when they arrived they were far too big for my father. I then found out that i had to pay £12.75 to send them back to Charles Clinkard to receive my refund - so the whole thing ended up costing me £18.74 (£12.75 for the return fee plus the original shipping cost of £5.00 to receive the faulty items) to get nothing (as the shoes were not suitable)!!!! its an absolute con - you are better off shopping elsewhere.
I’d seen what I wanted on the website but the colour I wanted weren’t available in store. I have wide feet so needed to try them on, I tried a different colour on and the assistant ordered me the ones I wanted to be delivered to my home address. They arrived very quickly. Great service, speedy delivery, quality shoes I’m very happy with the service provided.

I am very conscious of my shoe size- I wear a size 9 - so never normally find anything nice to wear- When I first went into your store I was helped by such a nice young lady who didn’t sound put off by my big feet !! I have subsequently bought 5 pairs of shoes from you that are absolutely beautiful and so comfortable! So fantastic to find a store that holds size 9 will never look anywhere else!!!
