Horrendous experience

Hello I’m contacting you about my stay it was nothing short of a disaster Firstly there were several room issues which were rectified by giving us a new room the biggest issue for me was we were out having a cigarette when some drunk men followed us in the bar talking to us so we sat with them until a separate table was available but because they smelt of something we were then kicked out they said they were staying in the hotel and followed us up talking away about what happened we went to are room they spoke to us for another few minutes and left to go to there’s from this point on we were treated like we had done something wrong we then went to the garden restaurant we were told the system was down I said I would go to reception and pay when my husband got back the manager was nothing short of rude I’ve recorded the whole conversation with him He continued to tell me this is there hotel and there is a bill which I said I would pay on check out I would like him to look into all the issues as we have spent a lot of money he continued to tell me he was not going to do so which is outrageous he then came up to the room and asked us to leave Leave for what reason we did absolutely nothing wrong and lovely to everybody we met and sorry for the other guests being rude but that’s not our fault we have had a totally horrendous experience because of your other drunken guest not down to us the wouldn’t stop talking to us we asked for our own table we were then turned down for room service it’s absolutely not good enough at all the managements response to this is shocking to top this off we had your security team chase us down the road accusing us of stealing a hair dryer we offered to unpack all our stuff for them on the street but that wasn’t good enough either I’ve recorded a lot of how we have been treated at this hotel and it’s absolutely terrible the way we are feeling is really not very nice I offered to settle my bill but was told they just want us to leave for what reason I’m totally unsure I’ve spent a lot of money and been treated in this way and no one seems to care at all there seems to be such lack of customer facing issues and it seems to me your very happy taking peoples money and not making there experience pleasant at all we met so many staff had a tour of the hotel no one had anything bad to say about us I should hope there is somebody with in this hotel that can deal with this or I will make my whole experience public also Thomas a manager is so strange to me as the only this he actually cared about is that he was in charge he’s the highest point of contact I also contacted the hotel to ask for a hairdryer on several occasions at no point did you hear a hairdryer you heard my hot brush which I showed staff at the station I’ve sent several emails with no response

Corinthia Tower, Vysehrad

Stayed at Corinthia Tower, Prague. Lovely hotel, although now a bit dated by 2020s standards. When I lived in Prague in the 2000s it was the height of luxury.

fantastisch week in dat 5 sterren hotel…

fantastisch week in dat 5 sterren hotel in Georges bay Malta , beetje buiten het centrum , niet te druk , niets was te veel voor de staf , steeds bereikbaar dag en nacht , altijd behulpzaam en met de glimlach. Ontbijt was SUPER VEEL en van alles wat !! Prosecco koffie thé warme chocolate , noem het maar op , je had het . zelfs verse honing direct van de bijen wwauwww !! het volledige team van het hotel is TOP , niets is te veel , kamers met zicht op de baai alles proper netjes , drie zwembaden , verschillende restaurats rond het hotel ? Wil je naar Valletta , neem de bus 14 , of een BOLT taxi , moet wel de app downloaden. max 3 minuten is hij er al. in een woord fantastishe week gehad in Malta. Groetjes Claude & Sung-Ja

Wow fabulous hotel

Wow fabulous hotel. The afternoon tea was amazing. We also enjoyed cocktails in the bar (surprised they charged £6.50 for a small bowl of nuts) but the cocktails were lovely and worth the money. We then had dinner in the Garden Lounge and that was so tasty. Beautiful food and surroundings and very good value for money. The staff were excellent. Highly recommend a visit.

Afternoon Tea at Corinthia London - outstanding experience and highly recommended - thanks to Joe, Tim and Ann who looked after my wife Emma and our son Edward so well! - it was a 50th birthday present for my wife and she was very impressed as always whenever we visit Corinthia London. I was also very grateful for my fathers day present they gave me too - very thoughtful and unexpected!

Corinthia Marina Hotel - Malta, St. Julians 5/5

Jeg var i slut september på besøg på det 5-stjernede hotel Corinthia Marina Hotel. Super imødekommende og hjælpende service fra receptionen som hjalp os til at finde transport løsninger og attraktioner. Super værelser med god aircondition og lækre faciliteter. Lækkert pool område med både voksen og standard pool. Alt I alt en super oplevelse, og jeg kommer helt sikkert igen næste gang jeg rejser til Malta!

Corinthia Budapest: Avoid at all costs. I have been trying to get a refund for over two months after the Hungarian government refused to let anyone in the country. Everyone else has been brilliant (British Airways refunded within two weeks). This hotel chain will not refund, despite reapeated attempts, even if you are not allowed in the country. Really poor service, I would advise avoid making a booking.

I booked a stay here just before Christmas and it was certainly one of the very best hotels I have experienced in London. Clean, and with very good service too. I especially liked the breakfast which was simply perfect.

It all ended well........in the end!

Just a short follow up on my earlier review. After over two weeks of e mails, the refund was finally credited to my account. Although its an open question as to the outcome had I not been persistent. It still leaves a point of principle regarding use of pre authorisations and unfortunately this is not the first time or first hotel where this has resulted in overcharging. My advice to the reader is be careful with whom you share your credit card details and always check your statements subsequent to any hotel visit. My recent experience won't stop me returning to the Corinthia. London It is truly a magnificent hotel.

Overcharging Using Pre Authorised Credit Card

I've been a regular guest at the Corinthia in London for many years and up until now would describe it as 5 star in all respects. A recent incident has, however, the practice of overcharging once the hotel has your credit card details! In this case the normal pre authorisation was taken for the room and extras at check in. At departure the bill exceeded this amount and a further charge was taken to close the account. All OK up until this point! One day later a third charge was taken from my account with no explanation. A series of e mails were then exchanged with Reservations who contacted Accounts and then confirmed a refund would be made within 5 days. This was never received. Its not a great amount but brings into focus that you need to trust the other party when sharing your credit card details for pre authorisation and you are tacitly given open access to your funds. I'm disappointed that a hotel who has had my loyalty for so long after two weeks has not been able to resolve such a straightforward problem. Or maybe I wasn't supposed to notice? Still, there is a solution in the future! Pay the room charge by card and provide a cash deposit from which they can take extras and return the balance on departure!

I was impressed by the Lisbon Corinthia…

I was impressed by the Lisbon Corinthia (4 years ago) -the waiters, staff, reception etc were affable, polite, never breaking boundary of professionalism but very well trained-starting with a room upgrade offered at a reasonable rate, breakfast was a great experience -omelettes being made by smiling staff, plates taken away discreetly etc. Dinner was expensive but again, service was supreme. we decided to visit all Corinthia, that's how good the experience was. Prague was not as good but still attentive. Malta, where there are 3 Corinthia-we thought would be home ground, so their best. Unfortunately, Marina Corinthia was not a good choice. British Airways deal was reasonable but by the end of it, the cost chalked up quite a bit. The staff made many amends (manager Angele Malia was charming) when we grumbled and we did eat well eventually. Paid extra for better breakfast. Well, we were not going to visit Malta that often so we wanted to be happy-extra costs for upgrade to a better room and view and better breakfast. There was a discount offered so that helped for other meals. The suite we ended up in unfortunately was lovely but not well looked after-walk in shower water would not drain properly, door was stuck. When staff show all the good bits (staff was pointing these out as though we ought to be happy now) , they ought to take into account that the bathroom door is stuck etc but that would require them to keep tabs and check before which was not done I guess. When we complained, it was all taken care of immediately. Then the water began to have mud particles coming from the flow. We did not want to complain anymore as 2 nights left so we drank and rinsed with bottled water. As Corinthia admirers (yes, we continue, though a bit battered) we hope the company picks up and does a good job of it. I can see they have much competition but hey, don't we all ? Rise to it ! You've got the top of the hill view of George's Bay ! Budapest and Khartoum....well, we might visit....

Corinthia Hotel Prague People and service quite Ok with the exception of some staff that make this experience not so good. Had to wait on a line more than 10 min to have a fried egg, with the eggs getting burned in front of me, the staff at that position quite rude ignoring me completely, salad was not well washed, and food not always available. Quite poor breakfast experience. The most ridiculous... the TV was synchronized in the native language with no possibility for subtitles. The only available subtitles were in the native language!!!!! Bottom line, if you like to be quite annoyed by the morning and like a crunchy salad, with no chance to relax at the room seeing some tv with subtitles, this is the hotel for you!!!

Corinthia Hotel Malta Stj Julians virker nedslidt selv om det kun er 12 år gammel. Hotellet har en lugt som gamle tæpper, og rengøringspersonalet har en stor friskluft sprøjte med der får værelset til at stinke af petroleum. Maden er under middel. Det er det samme hver eneste dag og der er mange bananfluer i maden det er ulækkert. Og mange dagen bliver der kun dækket op indenfor, på grund af varmen. Hele ugen har der været en utrolig støj fra asfaltarbejdet på hotellets psrkeringspladser . Vi har klaget men de kan intet gøre. Hotellet ligger super godt ud til hav og bugt, og vandet er lækkert rent, og det ligger flot. Men det er rigtigt dyrt, alene det livsnødvendige vand koster 2.5 euro for en halv liter. Der er ingen supermarkeder i nærheden hvor du kan købe cola eller vand. og det skal ses i betragtning af at der er hedebølge med 42 graders varme.' Når du tjekker ud fra hotellet skal du betale en slags skat på 0.5 euro pr. nat pr. person. Vi havde betalt for transport til lufthavnen, men blev bon´t for 24 euro ved lufthavnen, fordi hotellet viser os ud til de dyreste hvide taxa. Åbentbart normalt. Men vi fik pengerne retur af Dansk Folkeferie guide i lufthaven og tak for det. Jeg kan ikke anbefale dette hotel, med mindre du bare vil ligge i solen hver eneste dag, og det er svært under hedebølger hvor solen brænder 12 gange mere end normalt fra maj til til september.
