This is a really comfortable chair, but very dangerous. I have been injured twice and my wife once, when the chair tipped forward and smacked our faces into our work desks before leaving us trapped under the chair on the floor. it may be ok on carpet, but not on polished wood.
I wanted to wait a year or two before writing this review to really settle into it. When I first received the chair, it was the most comfortable and high-quality computer char I have used. Working in computational science, and from home, a good chair is vital for my wellbeing. I've owned this chair for almost 2 years, and already signs of wear are really showing. Over the time I've owned the chair, the mechanism for adjusting one of the armrests has slipped, meaning I've needed to remove the arm, take it apart, and put the ball bearings back in place. Despite this fix being on the left arm, the right armrest looks worse. The pad has split along the seam, and just brushing against the fabric causes it to tear. Finally, the base seems to have bent. when I lean back, the chair slowly moves further back and to the right. I don't fully trust the chair's structural integrity anymore. Edit 3rd April 2024: The chair was in warranty, so I have received replacement parts. However, even following their guide and many others, the base is still stuck to the tilt mechanism. On top of this, I've spent upwards of £50 on extra tools.
Multipurpose: Was skeptical about purchasing this product at first, took me almost two months to decide. A year later, and I believe this is one of my best investments. No regrets. Bought this specifically cause of my back pain and because I stay in an ensuite apartment. Served me well for relaxation (living room substitute) and work. Could sit as long as I wanted and wouldn’t feel a thing on my back, except absolute relief. Highly recommend!
Incredibly comfortable and really helps with posture. The lumbar back support is great, as well as the head pillow for neck support. Had a small issue with dispatching, but was solved quickly - I was always kept in the loop as to what was happening.
So, the positives first. The company is great to deal with, and responsive, the chair arrived on time and looked good. However… I guess the reason most people are reading this is because you want to know more about the chair… The short version is it is really (really) hard/firm and made my back ache a lot (the main reason for me getting it was to help alleviate back ache!). I was told to let it soften up for a few days - it never did. Assembly was so/so with the casters almost impossible to get in. Disassembly was actually impossible, and trying to get in back in the box to return it was almost not possible at all - despite help from their support team. Unfortunately - the good customer service doesn’t override the uncomfortable chair. It’s a shame as it does look good!
Quick delivery, ordered on a Friday and it was delivered on the following Tuesday, very easy to follow assembly instructions all on one page, and is possibly the best chair I have owned so far! FAR better than the no-name brand chair I previously got from Amazon, hands down. Very solid construction, very good springs that may take a while to wear in, and is the perfect height for my desk.
Ordered just before 13:00 and chair was delivered the next day!! Easy to assemble, it took less than 30minutes and the chair is comfortable and sturdy. I was looking for an office chair, I don't like gaming chairs because they look like gaming chairs... but this one is a bit more subtle and looks and feels great.
Delivered very promptly after ordering. Easy to assemble great quality but most importantly extremely comfortable for long hours at a screen whilst working from home.
Chair arrived broken and still waiting for someone to reply to my request for repairs. In terms of the chair itself, the seat is rock hard. Definitely not what I was led to believe. Regretting spending so much money on a chair that I will not be using for long as I will be replacing it with something more 'forgiving'
I did a bit of research before buying this chair for office use. After a week of use i can certainly recommend getting one. The arm rest adjustment (designed for gaming) is surprisingly useful for typing too. The construction is solid, the foam is nice and firm and my posture is certainly better after using this chair for long days at work. Marked down 1 star as i think the armrest adjustment height needs an extra inch to ensure desk surface clearance.
Ordered 10am on Tuesday and it arrived 1pm the next day. Absolutely fantastic service and the chair?! WOW! I use mine for long music production sessions and so a comfy chair is pretty important. I was using a normal office chair untill I purchased a duel hawk. I’ve been missing out and doing my back and injustice for years, this chair is incredible!
Bought a chair from duelhawk and it lived up to the other reviews, very good design and easy as pie to assemble, came fairly quick and tracked delivery so no stress and the lumbar support works well, and yeah it is possible to sleep on this chair haha, I definitely recommend!
Order No. 1092 So I bought the Duelhawk chair after speaking to Shan Walls (Director & founder of Duelhawk) who had called me for some feedback after I had almost purchased the chair online but hadn't pressed the final 'buy now' click. To be fair he did offer me a discount code which I used. He called me again a few weeks after the purchase to ask how I was getting on with the chair, and for any further thoughts I had, I advised him of several issues I had, i.e. poor stitching, seat back not straight, dents in foam filling that had not come out and worst of all the seat rocking side to side, he said he would keep me updated on how this was all going to be rectified but I've heard nothing, I've Whatsapped him but again no response. I am very disappointed that he can't be bothered to get back to me to sort out the issues especially as he thanked me for my feedback and said he'd implemented some of my suggestions. So I'm not sure that the claim of support and service stands up to scrutiny. At this point I would definitely not buy another Duelhawk chair and would have to go back to Secret Lab! Update - after some toing and froing with Shan he asked me what would make me happy vis a vis a refund to which I said that in the circumstances I would like a 50% refund due to the numerous faults with the chair, he refused this and offered a £50 refund and refused to discuss it further, obviously I then had no choice other than accept the £50 which leaves a bitter taste especially after he had thanked me for my feedback that had apparently been taken on board with the new design. As it stands I cannot see myself buying another Duelhawk chair as I cannot trust the build quality or customer service.
Fantastic chair, very comfortable, i keep falling asleep in it ! Well worth the money and great service.
This chair is by far one of the best quality chairs. It’s so comfortable and ergonomic, like heaven for my back and butt. I used to get back pain and hip pain when sitting working/gaming but not now, it seems to have disappeared. Highly recommend. I got the larger one and it’s so easy to assemble and came within 2 days. UPDATE: I had a slight issue with the hydraulic in my chair approx 1.5 years later and the team sent me out a replacement part no questions.... I'd give 10 stars if possible! Amazing service, chair and after sales care!
Ok were do i start... I tried so many Chairs office gaming etc. no name Brand did not matter every single time i had the absolute same problem. My weight 105 Kg seems not that much i know BUT every single chair and i mean realy EVERY SINGLE ONE Broke at the Screws from the seat to the Leg so i had absolute no back support after MAXIMUM 4 weeks. Than a few weeks ago a stumbled across a facebook ad from Duelhawk late at night it was like 2am ? the video ad looked kinda nice typical for a Gaming Chair and i lokked at it and the Homepage. I was VERRY skeptical so i thought i just use the chat and talk to them maybe i am lucky. and YES i was Lucky i got an Instant Reply and so i startet talking to them and asking my questions and my concerns. Every Single question got ansewered fast and competent a little bit to good to be true i thought to my self still beeing sceptical.... also the price was ridicilously low for That they offered. so i asked bc i needed 3 chairs für me and my office what they can do for me and they did a REALY good deal for me ... again to good to be true so i got even more sceptical but also curious. so i ordered 3 of their Ultra Gaming Chairs in Cloth Nebula. after like 1 and a half weeks the chairs finally arrived in the meantime i called them to ask if everything worked out with the payment they also wrote the bill so i can use it for my buisness in germany. i called the ceo and talked to him and he is a realy nice and helpfull guy! ok so now how are the chairs? :... First the one and only "kinda" Negative thing i can say These chairs are HEAVY seriously if u are not that strong get a second person to asemble these beasts they are MASSIVE, Everything is Steel the foot with the wheels is aluminium ni cheap plastik stuff everything is highclass material. i was shocked of the product quality its amazing the Wheels roll smooth and silent the stand is Stable the Armrests are Sturdy and the Coth Material jeez im in Heaven its comfy its warm it feels smooth just like a realy good Carseat .... the Headpillow is silksmooth its just perfect . sor me atleast... so now what is with my weight problem did the chair break or can i tell thatit will breal wehre its connects with the screws to the foot? no it wil not break its perfect engeneering Steel rods to connect it with Thumbthick screws. the backsupport is amazing. the seatpillow is a little bit hard but its ok if you set it up correctly its awsome comfy it is so comfortable i fell a sleep multiple times already in it. if u want an realy awesome char for more than a fair price just get it dont wait this company will be big !!!!! Love the chair. High build quality, solid materials, a massive improvement over my old chair. The built in adjustable lumbar support is just exceptional at supporting the lower region of my back during 9+hour gaming sits. It was a bit stiff for the first week but as far as I know its normal as the chair moulds around you with time.
Chair is perfect so far. Arrived very quickly and really well packaged. Clear instructions and easy to set up. I sit in it all day for work and have been comfortable all day without issue, and it forces me to sit in a better position. It's well made and has a good quality look and feel to it, very solid build. I'm 6'1 and 13 stone and have no issues at all. So glad I bought this-I love it
Great quality superb customer service. I purchased a chair from Duelhawk a few weeks ago, was super impressed with their customer service - very responsive and helpful, willing to go the extra mile to ensure I was able to get the deal I needed. The chair arrived well packaged, and quality is very good. My only feedback would be there's a lot of play in the arm rests when they are locked in position. Time will tell as to the longevity but very comfortable, high-backed chair that I am able to use all day without suffering any aches and pains.
