The X30 you made for us arrived today, just about a week after its shipping room video. We live in the middle of Canada and did not pay extra for shipping and it got to us in great condition, well packaged, so quickly. The guitar looks beautiful. It sounds great and is so much fun to play. We have been playing it all day, and I just realized now that we still haven't tuned it yet. Davy played it in his video jam the week before the guitar was officially displayed on the shipping video, so we knew it sounded great. We would like to give him a special thank you for choosing our guitar to play. It was a great pleasure to see it being played by such an accomplished musician. Thank you so much for everything! Well .. it's been way too long ! I now have two very special Emerald Guitars. My X20 is an amazing guitar made exactly to my needs . It has an X10 neck- so it's really comfortable and slim , a 12 fret neck , and string spacing at 2 1/4. Some problem with the high E string was diagnosed ( tinny sound) by Steve McCool who spoke with me by video call, and then shipped the X20 back for a new bridge ! Problem solved ! The X7-12 also has a more narrow neck at 1 11/16, making it very playable . Great for fingerstyle as well. Please don't hesitate to ask for what your needs are - my experience is .. you might be surprised at what can be done ! The web design interface for guitars was easy to use. The ordering process went smoothly. Communication about the progress of my guitar's construction has been good. I can wait for it to arrive.
This is a website like no other to build a guitar. Very impressive tech. I did need some support from the company, and I was connected to Davy by email who responded very quickly to each question and helped me resolve any questions. It will be a while before I receive this custom order, but from everything I've read and heard, it's a killer product. Thanks Emerald!
Explaining the process clearly. The information on the web site about what should be done with credit company was helpful. Davey went the extra mile for me. My order came in while the factory was closed Easter week and he happened to be in the office and routed through. Thank you davey.
Although I did not have any contact with the sales team, the 3d build on the web site was extremely easy to use. I was able to build and order my custom guitar with no issues. Upon placement of the order I immediately received a confirmation and receipt of payment. Today (26 days later) I received an email advising me of the start of the build. Great communication.
I have yet to receive the guitar. Davy has been wonderful to work with, very responsive and informative- Buying a high end guitar can be an experience full of excitements and expectations- i would suggest that once order is made, you create a regular status update- that reduces the anxiety and keeps the customer engaged- thank you

Great guitar! Playability and tone are there! Customer service was outstanding (Davy). The only hiccup I had was the courier didn’t give me a tracking number but, that was easily fixed by Emerald Guitars.
After I purchased the guitar, shipping from Ireland to Michigan went amazingly smooth and fast. Davy got me tracking info so I knew when the x30 arrived. I played the guitar the day I picked it up. Sang and played with my brother that afternoon and that gig went very well indeed. The guitar is everything Emerald promised and the veneer is better than it appeared in the pictures. thank you!

Emerald is simply one of the easiest to work with guitar vendors I’ve ever dealt with! They are responsive, and timely in their communications, and ship everything promptly and well-packaged. And then their guitars….I’ve got 2 already, the X-20 and Virtuo, and they are both incredible in their own ways. Emerald’s workmanship is gorgeous every time, and the sounds of their instruments just delicious in their clarity, sustain and accuracy.

Every step was seamless. I was buying a guitar as a wedding present for my future husband. I am not guitar savvy so the guys in sales were very helpful. Can't wait for the guitar to arrive.
Guitar received today and tested for a couple of hours. First experience for me of buying an instrument without trying it and I was a bit worried (what if I don’t like it?). After 5 min of playing this beautiful guitar I was convinced to have made the right choice! A bit surprised though by the very dark blue whereas it appeared to be clearer on the website and on videos. However, I don’t dislike it, just need to get used to this dark colour and it shouldn’t be an issue at all. The playability is excellent and makes everything easier than with my previous guitar (takamine). The sound is very well balanced and I like it too both unplugged and plugged. Only negative point: the transport with UPS (paying a 95€ extra, which I regret) which lasted 14 days and was a big mess all along these last 2 weeks. Nothing worked as scheduled (by them!). As they were unable to deliver at home (!), I had to go to the ‘local’ (25 km from home) UPS centre to get my package this evening. Just in time as they were about to send the package back to Ireland!!! This company is not professional and not serious at all. Please Emerald, work with another transport company! As an update to my previous message, I wanted to let you know that Emerald just took the initiative to refund the 95€ extra for shipping. These guys do a really good job and this has to be highlighted. I keep the rating of 4/5 as the issue with the transport company had to be mentioned but there is no question about Emerald’s guitars! These are just excellent.
Love their guitars, I’ve ordered 7 guitars all custom but 1. 3-X20’s, 2-X20 12 strings, an Amicus lefty. And even a right handed Balor Bass for the Studio. The 3D builder is awsome.
The 3D guitar builder was excellent and easy to select/cost the options I wanted. The resultant ordering process was straightforward and fast.
