I have had nothing but bad experiences with this company from day one

Ordering online is supposed to be a convenience and it is supposed to make your life much easier, but ordering and dealing with eyeconic is a difficult and frustrating experience, and this company is the exact opposite of the convenience of shopping online. Never in my life has any company online made me work so hard to spend money. Normally companies are more than happy to see you part with your money, not eyeconic. They don’t want your money in-fact they are going to make it so difficult and do everything possible to ensure you don’t want spend money with them or you can’t. It all started with my first interaction with this company, my eye prescription has an ADD of .50 from what I understand no company online can fulfill this, which isn’t a strike against eyeconic, but it is a strike against the lens manufacturer they send orders to. I have been in touch with other reputable eye glass companies and they just tell me to adjust my online order to have a .75 ADD, but the problem is that these other reputable companies don’t accept VSP. I tried asking eyeconic if they would do the same, but they told me no, I have to get my prescription adjusted. Instead of offering to call my doctor for me to check if this was okay, they wanted me to do it. If I have to drive down to my doctor and have my eyes rechecked or prescription adjusted why would I order through them, and not just order glasses through my doctor. At that point it defeats the purpose of ordering online. I then asked them to delete my online account which they told me they did, but they didn’t actually do it. After thinking about it for a few months I figured I would get single vision glasses, I have my prescription on hand in paper with me, but I thought “you know what they have the option to have eyeconic call and verify my prescription, I am going to test that option.” I asked eyeconic to call my doctor and verify my prescription, which they did, 1 time. They called my eye doctor 1 time. My eye doctor didn’t even know they called because in eyeconics infinite wisdom, they don’t realize that other people especially doctors are busy. Fast forward 1 day I get an email telling me I have 48-hours to submit my prescription or they are canceling my order. I submitted my prescription and they got to work on my single vision glasses. I received my SV glasses and these glasses are the exact measurements of my long distance glasses, but for whatever reason they don’t fit, and it’s not because they need an adjustment, which they don’t, they just don’t fit. It’s not eyeconics fault, but Ray-Bans fault. I thought “hey eyeconic makes exchanges easy,” but surprise, surprise eyeconic makes exchanges difficult too. Eyeconic is the only company that I know of in 2024 that does not allow you to pay the difference between frames that cost more than the item you are trying to exchange (see what I mean by eyeconic is allergic to making money). If someone told me I was in the year was 2000 and eyeconic didn’t have the system built-in to allow people pay the difference in price between exchanges, I would believe it. It is 2024 and there are still companies like eyeconic that I guess doesn’t have the infrastructure for such a simple transaction. I pick out my glasses, Eyeconic tells me it’s going to be x amount more, and I give them my debit card. It’s all really simple or maybe they don’t have the IT infrastructure for that. They want me to ship my current glasses back, wait 5-7 days for the refund, place a brand-new order, wait another 5-7 days for them to make my new lenses and pray to the gods that my new glasses don’t get destroyed by ups, and hopefully before my prescription expires or before I die of old age, I should have new glasses. This brings me to my next point, I am super disappointed with the way eyeconic ships glasses. My glasses we placed in a big box without any bubble wrap or protection besides the case. When I picked up the box I could hear my glasses case slamming around inside of the box. Eyeconic is one of those rare websites that makes the shopping experience with them the most ridiculous, unpleasant, drawn out experience I have ever had shopping online. I do not think I will ever order from this place again once I return my glasses. I am just flabbergasted by the level of difficulty and how excruciating they have made the process of trying to spend money on their website. I am going to be dropping vsp next year in favor of some place better thanks to Eyeconic. If Eyeconic is the only online store that accepts vsp then I want nothing to do with this insurance.

I ordered eyeglasses January 1, 2024. After 3 weeks of not receiving any communication, I called. I received the generic reply and then all of a sudden, within a week, I received my glasses. Mind you my order was for upgraded progressive lenses with transition and other features. While I love the frame, the most important part, being able to see clearly is missing. I have to hold my glasses up with my finger to see clearly. Just putting them on my vision is not clear. The job was rush, and even with insurance, I paid quite a bit for upgrades. Not acceptable.

Warte seit 3 Wochen auf die bestellte Brille. Hab eine Sendungsnummer von DHL erhalten, wo seit 5 Tagen nur "Ankündigung" steht. Gehe davon aus dass die Brille auch in dieser Woche nicht kommt. Am Ende sind es dann 5-6 Wochen für eine Brille. Das ist ein Witz.

Horrible customer service and communication

Ordered glasses from this company, they came in very timely manner which was good, however I could not even see out of my glasses. When I contacted the company I was told to go back to my eye doctor and have them do an RX check. My doctor is an hour away from my home. I made a special trip to the doctor, only to be told the RX in the lenses sent to me is not my RX. Upon contacting eyeconic when I got back home, I was told they could fix the problem unless I had documentation from my doctor that the rx in the lenses sent was incorrect. This was never told to me in the first conversation I had with the customer service rep. So, my options were to drive back out an hour to my doctor to get documentation or get a refund. Horrible customer service and communication on proper steps to fix issue they created.
