Bed looks lovely and easy to put together The delivery was disappointing , kerbside delivery I live on my own and had to carry a very heavy bed alone this was not stated until purchased .I feel when spending this amount of money it would be placed in my home I will be shopping at John Lewis next time due to this fact

Ordered a Dining room Table on 12/04/2024. Was advised 2 - 3 weeks for delivery. Today 03/05/2024 and still no idea when we will receive it. The table was dispatched 2 days ago but still no update who or when it will be delivered. Were advised that the pallet company will be in touch in 2 Working Days. Hopefully the product is better than the poor despatch /delivery service.

I purchased the Coleridge Headboard Bed Frame and am loving my new bed. It is solid, easy to put up, and looks exactly as the pics displayed on their website. I was a bit worried about time to make / deliver, having read previous reviews... So I called up before ordering to check that the time estimates on the site were accurate... They answered straightaway and made it clear that those times are to make the product, but to probably add maybe one to two weeks to include dispatch and delivery, and also Easter. I got an email to say it had been dispatched and then the delivery company called a few days later to arrange delivery. All worked fine and was as expected. The driver was super friendly, even wheeled the pallet across my drive to my front door, no issues at all. I think its made very clear that this a kerbside delivery. The pallet was packed very well and loads of protective wrapping. I unpacked the pallet outside and moved the individual bits inside on my own, no problem. A few things to note: You don't hear anything from Funky Chunky after placing the order until dispatch, which might be an issue for some people, given how much money you are spending. Maybe a few simple emails on build progress or something would be good idea. When you get the bed, unwrap it right away and leave it somewhere indoors to air for a day or two. The wood stain has a smell to it, so better to let it air and not try to set it up right away. Last point, and this is very minor and doesn't impact the product really. But if I was Funky Chunky, I would give the edges of the slats a very quick rub/sand... Its just where they have been cut, they are pretty rough and sharp, and it just looks a bit unfinished. But, I love the bed, and once there in, it has no impact, hence the 5 stars 🙂

Coleridge Coffee Table with Shelf Bought this table for my living room and I love it. Great quality and excellent customer service.
We are really pleased with the coffee table and the service that we received. The table was with us within 3 weeks and although we had to put the legs on this was a simple job and the table is not only stunning it is also solid and sturdy.

Be extremely careful about delivery options which are not explicitly available to see on their website. They only deliver to the pavement/ kerb/ sidewalk outside the door. I had to send my bed back as I am a middle aged woman with no husband/ partner or male friends to help me move the bed upstairs. They showed little care or concern about this and advised me to return the bed at a cost of £60. I understand that the delivery email outlines this delivery method but nowhere else is it obviously stated. Extremely disappointed 😞
No doubt the bed is really nice and made of sturdy quality wood, but the delivery process was outrageous. The delivery company left the pallets outside our communal door. It was very hard for two people to bring these inside (impossible for one person). We had to block the communal door for a couple of hours and we now have to dispose the pallet. This could also very easily lead to injuries. Bed is easy to assemble but the colour is far far from the samples that can be view online. For the price we paid -even though we are quite happy with the bed - it's unacceptable to have such delivery process!

Funky Chunky Furniture have now taken the opportunity to resolve my issue of a wet and damaged mantle due to my not opening delivery immediately to allow to dry out. I will not do that again! and the Company will seek to make their advice to ‘Open Immediately To Allow Wood To Breath’ more obvious. It is always so much better when suppliers respond to constructive feedback and I am very pleased we have reached a resolution.
We’ve bought three purchases (over a year) so rating on an overall experience. 1 - mantel beam. Beautiful, fast delivery, simple to put up and remains pleasing to the eye. Natural wood and easy to stain ourselves. No need to contact customer services. 2 - Floating shelf for bathroom Beautiful. Easy to put up, pleasing to the eye. Beautifully pre-stained. Couple of natural “defects” that add character. No need to contact customer services. 3 - 5 x 30cm floating shelves Initially beautiful, simple to put up and pleasing to the eye. Within 3 days significant splits across all 5 including near the fixings. No natural appearance to the look about any of them and wide. Very disappointed Contacted the business to request a resolution - advised this is natural and to wait. Photos sent of further cracking over the next couple of days. Again advised this is natural and as advertised despite previous experiences and would not offer a replacement. Only resolution : If unsatisfied to return Returns slip advises we need to pay the returns which is over half the cost. Trust and customer satisfaction is measured on response and repair to when things go wrong - I won’t be coming back again and my trust in this company is now zero.
So disappointed that when the Joiner opened the oak mantel it was wet and damaged with rusty screws and damaged rawl plugs. I hadn't opened the dispatch note saying 'open immediately to dry out' as it was obvious what the delivery was and I was waiting for the Joiner to fit. It would be so much better if this warning was written on the packaging itself. Yes, I should have read the dispatch note and the website more carefully but when I contacted Customer Services to explain what had happened and admitting it was a genuine mistake I had hoped for a more sympathetic response. Sadly not and £90 wasted. I will now be one of those customers who tells many people about how disappointed I am with Funky Chunky Furniture rather than saying how well they dealt with my genuine mistake. An opportunity missed!

Ordered a mantel beam, when it came I was very surprised the quality was so poor. Lots of circular scratches showing the machining which hadn’t been sanded, the finish was missing in two places looking odd at the front, the very large split in the front came from the screws in the holding bracket, the multiple splits were full of a thick white paste and there was a loose flap of wood at the front which was sharp. I sent pictures about the mantel but they say this is part of the “rustic” look. I am unsure how it’s rustic when the split has large chucks of white paste in it. I was then told I would have to sort the return myself which I would expect if the product was of good quality and I had changed my mind, unfortunately this was not the case but they took zero responsibility for a poor quality product.
