Worse online order of any kind I have ever received

Oh my goodness! I have been wanting this cake for so long and for it to be the highlight of a lunch. When I opened this box I was mortified. What were flowers were a stream of pudding like frosting, partly fallen into a gaping hole in the middle of the cake. Layers had fallen in on themselves. I am an older lady who is not one who takes pictures of things to return, have always known people would take my word. You likely can't do anything without pictures these days. I had such a wonderful experience years ago with a cake, then a bad one with a cake I sent a friend for her birthday.....a couple of good experiences along the way, but this was just awful.

very rude customer service response

Half of my order was not shipped on the scheduled day, causing a one-day delay. This led to the inconvenience of rescheduling a dinner with six friends at the last minute (day of). Furthermore, the portion of the order that did arrive on time is now aging as it waits for the delayed half. However, my primary concern was the customer service response. Their representative minimized the issue and suggested that the delay and the aging food were not significant problems. This lack of empathy was particularly disappointing given the value of the order, which exceeded $200.

This food was not what we had in New Orleans. We were very disappointed The Willie Mae’s Scotch house meal Was so spicy and definitely had too much paprika or something because it was just hot and bitter tasting. It was a waste of $160.00.

I ordered Alaskan crab from Goldbelly …

I ordered Alaskan crab from Goldbelly thru The Crab Shack. The crab were extremely small and skinny. The knuckles, which normally have tasty meat, were horrible with brownish meat. I contacted Goldbelly about the order. They offered $15.00 off my next "qualified order." Wow...don't insult me with your lame offer. NEVER AGAIN

Terrible Customer Service: Ordered through Goldbelly for Pequod's Pizza

I placed an order through Goldbelly for 4 pizzas from Pequod's in Chicago, IL. When we lived in Chicago we frequently ate in at Pequod's. We love their pizza! Now that we've moved to Florida, we were thrilled to learn that we could order Pequod's pizza through Goldbelly. The pizzas arrived on time and packed on ice which was all good. However, when we opened the first pizza it appeared to be more charred than normal (and we know Pequod's has a history of some charring around the crust and rim.) We assumed this was just normal. We baked it following the directions on temperature and duration. What came out of the oven was 60% not edible, meaning it was more than slightly burnt, per their own standards, it was chewy to the point of not tasting good as we attempted to chew through the bite. We took pictures of it and threw out the remaining pizza. We immediately notified Goldbelly assuming we got a bad batch which would have been no big deal had they looked at the photos and our complaint and offered a refund. Instead, they sent us a coupon for future use on their website. Why would I spend more money with a company that I received a faulty product from? Later that day we received another email from an individual telling us everyone has different tastebuds and taste is subjective. Had we ordered in at Pequod's and received an over half not edible pizza we would have sent it back. There is nothing subjective about stating that a pizza was more than charred and chewy therefore not edible. Very poor customer service. Needless to say, we will never use Goldbelly again and will contact Pequod's direct, as we are loyal customers, and let them know how terrible this company is with resolving customer service issues.

Inedible. So dry I nearly gagged.

I ordered hot cross buns - 12 buns were $100. When they arrived they were half the size of the buns pictured on the website and they were so dry I nearly gagged. I asked for a refund but was instead told they don't offer refunds and was offered a $15 discount on my next order. This company clearly does not stand by the products they sell on their platform and does not care about customer satisfaction.

Not the company it used to be, money gone

I have used this service for my business many times before with no issues or problems. The last two order from Goldbelly were never delivered and were both very important. I reached out to customer service with no acceptable response. I am absolutely floored and frustrated. I am having to place an order with alternate delivery service and out the money I paid to Goldbelly. So shocked after many years of great customer service.

GOLD BELLY IS A RIPOFF

Warning: Don’t Order R&D with GoldBelly's - RIPOFF! I was excited to try GoldBelly's food delivery service, especially to taste Russ and Daughters' famous Lox and Cream Cheese from New York. But my experience turned sour when my order, supposed to arrive in Florida on Saturday, didn't show up until two days later. When it finally arrived, the food was spoiled because it had been left in a hot truck for too long. When I complained to GoldBelly, they refused to give me a refund, even though they were responsible for the mess. What kind of a business does this??? Why does R&D work with them? It's clear they don't care about their customers or the quality of their service. The wanted to refund me for just the lox and cream cheese and charge me for the remaining order and $70 shipping fees (that they delivered 2 days too late)! Don't waste your money on GoldBelly. RUSS & DAUGHTERS should do better!!! Look into all the complaints online about Gold Belly. They'll ruin your order and leave you disappointed with no refund in sight. A stain on Russ and Daughers which is a great place in person. Not to deliver from.

Stay Away from using this service

My cake was the last delivery of the day a d the driver never delivered it. I contacted Goldbelly and UPS. Botb customer service is horrible and told me the birthday cake would be delivered Monday! Why isnt food delivered early and why not on weekends! Never order from Goldbelly. They can’t do any quality control and delivery service. Again, the cake just arrived Monday night! Who wants a rotten $80 cake! Never again Goldbelly. You can keep your 50% off dumb coupon for a future order.

I ordered the Brooklyn Blackout and was disappointed with the taste, texture, and authenticity of this cake. I worked in the bakery that sold Blackout and this was nothing like the original. The cake was dense, and the filling was dry. I anticipated a better quality of cake from Goldbelly.

They have serious fulfillment issues

They have serious fulfillment issues. The first time I ordered, it wasn’t shipped and I had to follow up for a status update. They got it shipped, but it was late. The second time, I paid $40 for Saturday delivery, and not only were they unable to deliver on Saturday, no resolution was offered. They noted that delivery dates are “estimates.” I would have appreciated at least having that huge fee refunded, but overall I guess I gained a lesson on my part. Leaving this review because I wish someone had told me before I wasted my money. They delete any reviews on their website that cites fulfillment issues, although that seems to be their #1 problem.

Big Shakes hot wings let me down...

I ordered hot wings from Big Shakes for my super bowl party, and they were supposed to be delivered today, Feb 9. However, when I checked tracking, it said the order had been canceled. I didn't receive an email or anything to let me know they canceled my order. And I didn't get a refund until I inquired about it.

I ordered from Tony's Pizza in SF on 2/4 so I would have it for 2/11. When I ordered it, it said I would have it on 2/7, I don't have my order. It has now been moved to delivery of 2/9 but it has not shipped. This is the 2nd time I have had an issue with Goldbelly. Reach out to customer service on Tuesday, 2/6 and was told, don't worry it will be delivered on time. Reached out to them on 2/8 and am being told they are looking into it and will get back to me in 1-2 days. I needed this order for 2/11. Will not be using them again, such a disappointment!!!!!
