I ordered a pair of boots. Paid extra for next-day delivery. 48 hours later, still no boots. They were using Yodel, so say no more. I requested to cancel the order and got an automated reply saying it would take up to 5 working days to get a reply. If you take 5 days to respond to a complaint, then you either have too many complaints or not enough staff. Obviously this company has little interest in the customers, so I cant recommend using them.
I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. I placed an order for shoes five days ago and haven't received any notifications since the confirmation. When I reached out via email to inquire about my order, I was informed that the shoes were out of stock, which seems highly unlikely. When I made the purchase, all sizes were supposedly available. I had high hopes for this company, assuming they had a good reputation, but it's clear now that I was mistaken. This level of service is unacceptable.
Ordered on Monday and arrived on Thursday - great shoes and price, will use again.
I bought a pair of Marcu Tan shoes. They arrived quickly and looked great, however after only a few wears one of the soles stared to come away. I returned them for a refund but no word from Goodwin Smith after 3 weeks. Sent an email asking for an update but no response. Their website says that if you send multiple emails you will be sent to the back of the queue so you are stuck. There is no phone number and their chat function doesn't work. Appalling customer service, avoid!
They're just perfect. It was easy to complete the purchase and they arrived in time expected. They look exactly as described and are in excellent condition. They are nearly 3 times less expensive than a well known competitor and they're real leather. 👌
I received my online order on Tuesday April 9th, and it was incorrect. I ordered UK size 10 and received UK size 11. It’s impossible to phone this company, so I emailed to explain the problem, and received an automated reply indicating that they would contact me and to allow 5 working days. No-one got back to me, so I have tried the chatbot option and again have been told that someone will contact me, but to allow 5 working days. This company has hit rock bottom as far as customer service is concerned, and many other reviews indicating similar problems testifying to this are on this site. They have taken my money, but the footwear I have received is no good for me due to the company’s inefficiency. I would advise anyone to avoid buying from this company…it’s not worth the hassle!
Order not fulfilled. All contact ignored. Thankfully I purchased with PayPal and got my money back.
I have 5 pair of GS footwear. 2 pair of boots, 2 pair of shoes and 1 pair of trainers. All were delivered speedily and without issue. All are extremely comfortable, off good and value for money.

Not got any complaints about the shoes in fact my husband loves them and would have given 5 stars if they would let me know about shoes that had to be returned for a refund
Terrible company, poor communication, poor customer service and very poor product received. Ordered a pair of boots at a cost of £199.99 plus £2.99 postage. What arrived was not only a different boot to the one i had ordered but they were also clearly used with marked soles and scuffs to the uppers. In addition, the box it arrived in was bashed and torn, there was a very long human hair inside one of the boots and the packaging was ripped and just chucked in without any proper packing at all. As others have experienced, the communication with this company is incredibly poor. Further, the returns process (for a free return) was to deliver to a drop box involving a 12 mile round trip! I requested an alternative and was advised I could return but they would only reimburse me to the value of £3.00. No courier company could offer the correct insurance for this price and as such I paid £10.50 to return these boots. Several days have passed since the boots were signed for back at their return depot and today I received a partial refund of £199.99. So, they haven't honoured the £3.00 return postage and they've kept my original £2.99 postage, even though they sent me a pair of used boots which were not even the ones i ordered. So for the pleasure of ordering from this company I am actually out of pocket to the tune of £13.49. I have since purchased an alternative pair from Redwing who have proved to be excellent and I would recommend you go there instead. There is nothing positive to take away from the experience of purchasing from this company
Beautifully plush and soft sheepskin slider slippers. Great shame they are sized far tooo big. I am a UK6 and should have gone for a 4! Was recommended to go for my regular size by the company. Now I have to return them at my cost. Great shame I was not advised to size down.
I bought these approx two years ago but have only worn them 20-30 times. I scuffed the toes a few times and when I went to put them on again recently I was very disappointed to see that these relatively minor scuffs had penetrated the leather toe right through to the inside. They are a lovely looking shoe but not fit for purpose. I submitted a similar review to this on the maker's site but they have not published it. The maker's response below refers to the length of time since I bought them as opposed to the number of occasions I actually wore them which I have already stated at 20-30 max. I do not consider this fair wear n tear. In addition, on the Goodwin Smith website I did a similar review to this and enclosed pictures of the damaged shoe with the review. Neither the review nor the pictures were published on GS website reviews - it appears that only 4 and 5 star reviews are allowed to be published on GS website - and there is no way of knowing how many unfavourable reviews were received as GS are not permitting these to be published on their website. Thus I would take the picture of reviews as depicted on GS website with a very large pinch of salt since the picture they present is likely to be massively skewed towards favourable reviews with unfavourable ones omitted. The reason I have placed this review on Trustpilot is because of Goodwin Smith's continuing failure to publish the review and associated photos which I submitted to their own website.
These were the second pair of slippers I have bought. They are just as comfortable, warm and cosy as the last pair.repeat
Very comfortable slippers once you have worn them in. The pile on the lining is lovely and deep. These are the 2nd pair I have bought as the 1st were so good. My house has concrete floors which means cold feet in the winter. These slippers have stopped that happening.
Very happy with my sheepskin boots, great quality and so comfy, also keep your feet very warm! Will definitely order from here again

Super company had boots and shoes all speedy delivery and good communication, felt more like a family than company, nice touch, makes all the difference to the buyer. Love the slippers, like all things the fit is spot on, in size and width, something a bit different from the crowd.
This is the 2nd pair of slippers I've bought. Not that there was anything wrong with the 1st pair, I wore them so much i'de realised they had served me (very) well. They are beautifully made, incredibly comfy and most importantly they're lovely and warm!!! I can confirm that they are also very long lasting and a fantastic price for the quality of the product. You can pay a lot more with other makes but for cost, comfort and superb quality Redfoot are hard to beat.
