Just got my second order from Hard to Find Whisky. I love that they use quick, direct shipping to the US for a reasonable price. Got my order in two business days! The bottles always leave their shop super quickly and packed well. This is now my number one spot for bottles you can’t get here.
The order was placed on the morning of the 10th, Jan 24, and delivered on the 11th. I had to change the delivery address once I placed the order, and the reply was really fast.
So I ordered a bottle of gin from Amazon from HTFW the order was delivered to my neighbour only it wasn’t it was delivered to a different street to persons I know nothing off , after a few messages to HTFW I was told it was within walking distance could I collect . I was reluctant because I don’t know who has taken possession of my delivery , and the fact we were ill .I think it’s unreasonable of them to expect me to run around for an item that I’ve paid delivery for and felt at the time they were very unhelpful . What I didn’t want to explain to them was that my husband has a brain tumour and I care for my severely disabled son this is why I shop on line . To sum everything up delivery was messed up HTFW should have sorted it out better customer service has a lot to be desired in the end Amazon got me a refund . The item should have been collected and retuned to sender but found its way to me . This meant I had to contact HTFW and pay for item . So not a great experience overall .
I ordered a whiskey Advent Calendar and it's amazing. Lots of Whiskeys I have never heard of, and so exciting to taste all these different options.
This story is a bit long so buckle up! I had recently bought a bottle of Alien Vodka as a gift from Amazon it was delivered wrapped in brown paper in a cutdown amazon box. The bottle had some cosmetic flaws, it was a gift, so I rejected it and received a refund. Trying again, and again through Amazon, I bought a second bottle from HTFW. I received a message from Amazon that the parcel had been delivered but it hadn't so, I left a one-star review. This prompted HTFW to contact me saying my package had been delivered to a neighbour. HTFW's packaging was superb and after a visual inspection of the contents I confirmed it was in tip top condition. So, thank you HTFW. The confusion, I guess, was caused by the rather complicated routing around and between HTFW, the deliverers, Amazon and me. I thought I'd have a look at HTFW's website to see if I could skip the middleman to simplify the communication chain. Here there is a problem. Whoever HTFW are using to host their site is doing that thing of blocking requests via VPNs. So, here's the conundrum. Should I switch off my VPN for the convenience of using HTFW's website or should I continue using Amazon and risk confuse-agedon or should I find an equivalent website that doesn't block VPN users? Well, I'm not closing my VPN subscription any time soon, sorry HTFW.

Rubbish service, paid and never received the order. It was a gift for a friend and they messed the holiday. Called them, they told it will be delivered very next day.. and a week later it says “undeliverable “ 🤦♂️ now waiting my money back 5-7 business days.
I placed an order with Hard to Find Whisky (HTFW) and the process was seamless. I entered my delivery postcode incorrectly resulting in an issue with the delivery. I wasn’t aware of the mistake I had made and contact HTFW to make them aware of the delivery issue. First thing this morning I received a call from Will at HTFW who was simply excellent! He dealt with me as a first time customer in a personable and professional manner and nothing was a problem to him. Will made contact with the delivery company on my behalf to resolve my mistake. I am delighted to say that I received my delivery tonight and it is in fantastic condition so thank you to Steve for his packing. Thank you for your excellent customer service and I have corrected my delivery address for my next order.
After a failed delivery from a terrible driver, I launched a complaint, and the reaction was quick, and a resolution was achieved within 24 hours. I was contacted by Justin, who requested a telephone call with the person involved in the failed delivery. Adrian then called my Mother, and his concern profoundly humbled her. Adrian rang my Mother and apologised profusely, and we are both somewhat humbled by their reaction to the incident. Thank you for the assistance you have afforded my Mother. I also believe that customer care and terrible behaviour are lacking in society today because people are always after something. My Mother and I are humbled at their reaction to this, and as my Mother said, "Heartwarming that they are taking this so seriously." It is scarce in today's society that a company cares once they have received the money, but HTFW proved us wrong. Thank you to Justin and Adrian for addressing this situation. Wouldn't trust this lot again. Completely absolved itself off any responsibility when an issue occurred with a delivery. Keep getting bounced back between DPD and HTFW and it is entirely clear that neither are interested in resolving this and playing the good old "contractual obligation" card!
I have found Hard To Find Whisky an Excellent Seller. Good range, good prices, easy to use web site, and informed at all times. I saw an item on the Hard To Find Whisky which I had been looking for and could not find anywhere else. I ordered it in the morning, it was sent the same day and was delivered the next day. I found the service magnificent from start to finish. One of the things I look for when buying is the delivery and this I was informed at all times, very well packaged and came when I was informed. One of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. I ordered for elderly father spent who spent close on £150 with this company. He bought my Husbands Christmas gifts which he gave directly to him on Christmas Day. It was opened and partially consumed. Obviously my husband did not know any different as it was a gift. It was a novelty item which should have contained a bottle of Jack Daniels Tennessee Rye. It contained a bog standard bottle of Jack Daniels (£20 from Tesco) It wasn’t the one I ordered. It wasn’t until I saw it later it was noticed. I have copies of the order and contacted them explaining what had happened. I received an abrupt reply saying there was nothing they could do. It was their mistake. I’ve had several back and forth emails with them . Hopeless company, no apology or compromise. They don't want to know if they cock up. I could have lied but that’s not me? I was honest unlike them. Do not buy from them!
