I have just used Hive for the first time. I looked at several of the big bookseller sites and all charged roughly £20 for the book I wanted but then added delivery charges of about £3-4 . Hive was £16.09 with no delivery charge. My book arrived in a couple of days in sturdy packaging. I am very satisfied.
Hive is my go-to online book shop. Their prices are competitive, delivery is free (big win for me), customer support is excellent, they offer senior and student discount, and they support local book shops. Incredible service and definitely well worth writing a review for 👍🏻☺️
I buy most of my books here, it would be all of my books but the stock could be improved. Good prices and they aren't Amazon.

I have just ordered some books from Hive for the second time, the first order arrived within the stated time, they do free P&P. They were packed well and they donate to an independent book shop near you, which I think is wonderful.

I'm never using this company again. They advertise ebooks in epub format, but they conveniently forget to mention they're locked down with DRM protection. To read them, you're forced to download ADOBE DIGITAL EDITIONS. My advice? Steer clear of buying ebooks from them; it's just a big time-waster.
I phoned hive with a problem setting up a tvr. They were very understanding and talked me through the set up procedure.

After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to take the risk on buying from here, but for the price I couldn’t help to take the risk. My Funko Pop! order that arrived today, came boxed, with packaging around the pop to avoid it moving around. So they must have took the feedback onboard and started to ship them securely in the box! The only reason it’s not 5/5 is because the Funko Pop! I received did have some creasing on the front of the box, but nothing too damaging. As it could’ve happened from storage, or someone being heavy handed. But giant improvements by the sounds of it, of shipping of Collectables!

I bought an ebook from hive.co.uk and chose PDF as the format. PDF stands for 'portable document format' - in other words, a file containing a document that can be read by a variety of software across a number of operating systems. What I got instead was a file that is clearly not a portable document - it can be read only by one application, Adobe Digital Editions, and only on 'authorised' computers. It seems that, in their fear of piracy, ebook sellers like hive.co.uk are now treating their paying customers as potential thieves, who must be locked down to the fullest extent to prevent file sharing. This is unfortunate. It greatly diminishes the experience of shopping at hive.co.uk - why would anyone want to be treated like a thief? But it gets worse. Much, much worse. If the inconvenience of the restrictions weren't bad enough, the instructions in hive.co.uk to download Adobe Digital Editions are wrong. Furthermore, you have to hunt around the Adobe website to download the MacOS or Windows versions of its programme, as Adobe assumes you want to download the iOS or Android versions. To add misery to misery, the MacOS version of Adobe Digital Editions is an embarrassment. Had it been launched in the early 90s for Windows 3.1, it would have been panned by reviewers. The clunkiest interface and threadbare functionality makes it evident that this is not a priority application for Adobe and makes you wonder whether your PDF ebook purchases will have a limited shelf-life. To top it all off, I then searched online for a pdf of the book I had just purchased and within seconds found a fully unlocked pdf of the book, identical to the one I had purchased and readable in any pdf file viewer (including all the benefits of anotating etc). So, in spite of all the hurdles hive.co.uk had me jump, the horse has truly bolted.

I bought a calendar online on the 13th of December and after one month I didn't receive anything. I'm going to buy it somewhere else, I just hope they will refund me at least
I've been using Hive for just over a year now, placing over 30 orders with them and I cannot fault their service. On the very rare occasions I have had issues (2 issues caused by couriers and not the fault of Hive themselves), their customer service team has been very quick to help and put things right which is all you can ask for. Great selection, good prices, speedy dispatch and delivery, friendly and helpful customer service. A far better experience than buying things from the company named after the world's largest rainforest and their subsidiaries.
