Good quality!

I liked one of the knife sets. This was really what was missing for my kitchen! My knives used to be where my forks and spoons were! And now they are each in their place in the stand! Good quality!

fast shipment good service

I do ecommerce and have purchased countless units from metrokitchen. Likely over 10,000 in items, all with no issues. All ship same or next day. One single order had a shipment issue which they were happy to resolve w a refund. Not sure why the reviews are poor all good from me.

thieves..

they take advantage of the fact that most peope are used to a decent return policy. Their policy is not to take RETURNS for anything that is opened. How would you know an item is good or bad until you open it? and it is very clear that their own employees or affiliates have written reviews here. the sad part is most poeple who buy from metrokitchen will not know their reputation in advance

METRO KITCHENS ARE CRIMINALS - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!

This is the most outrageous and unbelievable experience I have ever had. Do not let this happen to you, do not buy anything form these people. I got a $530 blender from these people via Best Buy Marketplace website. You would think it would be a safe purchase and as it turns out you would be very wrong! The item was defective and when I called to get a return label 2 days after I got the item and was assured by Best Buy representative that returning it would not be an issue, Customer Service Manager at Metro Kitchens told me that they would not take it back because I opened it!! How else would I know it was defective?? !!! Best Buy customer service representative called them; they still refused to take the item back. They told Best Buy that they don’t believe there is anything wrong with the item!!?? And they would know that how??!!! I was forced to open a dispute with the credit card provider. They asked me to prove that blender was defective. Try and find someone who will certify that your blender is defective!!! Repair places will think that you are crazy! I had to go to the manufacture to get the prof!!!! Manufacture agreed that blender was indeed defective and issued a return label. I was told that Metro Kitchens were instructed to issue a refund. Guess what these criminals at Metro Kitchens did? - They lied to the bank and told them they had no idea where I shipped the item to and therefor were not responsible for the refund. They lied to manufacture and told them that I got a refund as a result of the dispute with bank! I had to send my bank statements to the manufacture to prove that these people were lying!!! I finally got my money back but it took almost 6 month of aggravation. They finally sent ma a check but conveniently forgot to include shipping charge which was another illegal charge for this item and sales tax!!! Manufacture reimbursed me for both. I don’t know what they were trying to do. Did they think they would wear me out and I would give up on it and take that kind of loss??? It looks to me like a typical action of a sociopath. Now ask yourself why would ever put yourself in a position where it could be you in my place? Hope this post will help people to protect themselves and not get involved with these criminals Also I googled reviews for this company for a small warehouse that are way too many reviews, they probably sitting there typing this stuff in to drown real once which can’t be good.

Despicable & Dishonest Buyer Beware!

I'm a 60 year old career sales executive and entrepreneur. This ranks with the worst buying experiences of my life, right up there with phony watch hawks in Times Square. We purchased a new 10-piece All-Clad set for our daughter's birthday. Upon inspecting the set the day it arrived, we found 2 pots scuffed on the bottom. I contacted (name), a member of this family owned company. (name) was very helpful and said she would send an exchange. I was leaving for a one-month vacation and concerned about holding the pieces until I returned. (name) assured me this would not be a problem and she confirmed our agreement by email. After returning from vacation, I inspected the replacement pieces, and shipped the tow damage pots back. Two days later, (name), their customer service manager emailed me that the returned items had been used and they do not accept returns of used items. We never used any of the items in the set. Everything is in the original packing. We have documentation and photos. After a heated conversation, in which I was basically called a liar, I tried to remedy by email with no change. (name) never responded to any of the emails. He refused to put (name) on the phone or she refused to get on the call, I'm not sure although I assume the former. They charged over $500 for the two replacement items to my credit card. MetroKitchen stated they are returning the two damaged items to me and expect me to keep the replacement pots as well. We only paid $549 for the whole set – nearly double the price. Hopefully our credit card company will work this out. We are filing complaints with the BBB, FTC and a claim for mail fraud.

Why I will never purchase another item from MetroKitchen!

As I love to cook and always wanted to try a ceramic knife, I thought I would start with the best, so several month ago I purchased a a Kyocera Kyotop 6 inch chef's knife from Metrokitchen, a company that I have purchased from before. The knife costing over $200. dollars came beautifully packaged and appeared to be of good quality. My first attempt would be the ultimate knife test... Slicing a Tomato!. UGGH... I had to look at what I was holding, I thought that I had picked up a butter knife be mistake. The ceramic knife mashed its way into the skin of the tomato a full half blade before it decided to cut. Having a top line knife collection from Shun to Wusthuf and knowing what a quality knife is, this glass hatchet will not join the family. I put the knife neatly back in its box and called MetroKitchen to inquire on how to return the knife. Explaining that I used the knife once and was extremely dissatisfied with its performance, I was told that I could not return the knife because it was used. MetroKitchen does not accept the return of used equipment. How can you tell if a product is good or not if you can't use it at least once? This knife was sold under the premise that is sharper than any metal knife, it is not as advertised and with MetroKicken's policy of no-return, I now own a $200. garden tool.

Good prices, great customer service

I buy a lot of cookware on-line and I have found MetroKitchen to have very good prices and high quality cookware. But what I really like about them is their customer service. I get prompt responses from them by email and phone and they have gone out of their way to help me. For example, I recently bought a Vita-Mix blender and they agreed to match a lower price I found on the web. They don't have an enormous selection, but what they have is all quality.
