I ordered Brembo brake discs and Pads for my Vw , competitive prices, there was a problem with one of the pads which was missing retaining clips (manufacturers fault not partsinmotion.co.uk) Rico and Tom were very helpful, sorted my issue and sent replacement pads arriving next day to get my car back on the road swiftly. Highly recommended company, very good customer service 👍

Terrible customer service department

I used this company quite frequently to buy parts, mostly via their eBay shop. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size of brake discs for my VW Golf and only discovered they were wrong size when I tried to fit them, which was about 40 days after I ordered. I requested a return but was told it was not possible due to exceeding 30 days. After leaving negative feedback on eBay about disrespecting previously loyal customers, they agreed to a return. So I packed the item up and sent back to them. They then informed me they could not refund me because 30 days has passed and they will be destroying the perfectly good parts, unless I want to come and collect them for their site. Which is about 300miles from where I live! I will never use this company again and do not recommend to anyone. I must have spent over £600 on parts with this company over the past few years and for the sake of £30 brake discs they have lost a loyal customer. Good riddance.

I've used Parts in Motion for a few years now and the service has always been good. I recently made a purchase, which was lost in the post. Tom was absolutely brilliant. He sorted the issue in the blink of an eye and saved the day. Five stars isn't enough to rate the service. They go above and beyond. Well done!

Fantastic service, fast delivery other than Royal Mail kindly delivering to wrong address. But these guys sent a replacement fast, great service, 5***** I wish all companies were this good. Only slight criticism is it took a couple of days for a reply, but it was the weekend 🙂

It's all about customer service.

I ordered some suspension springs from Parts in Motion through their Ebay site, which were a well known brand and competitively priced. Delivery was fast with no problems. Unfortunately, the springs were not suitable for my vehicle which could only be realised AFTER fitting. Parts in Motion have a clear policy of not accepting the return of items once they have been fitted, but suggested instead, a return through their warranty procedure. A warranty form was promptly emailed to me which I filled out detailing the issues I had with the springs and emailed back. Within a day or so, a return had been authorised and I packaged the springs back into their boxes and sent them off. Again, within a short period of time, the warranty return had been accepted and a refund issued. I was going to leave a 4 star rating, as the springs they sent me were wrong, however, this was not Parts in Motions fault, and their customer service team dealt with the problem very swiftly, and as a result I'm happy to give them a 5 star rating. I won't hesitate in using these guys again, as I now know, that if I have a problem with anything I order from them, they will do their upmost to resolve it quickly and fairly.

Ordered a radiator fan after checking…

[Reply from PIM shows how much they don't get it. Offering "more help" when they haven't helped at all so far is just insulting. I have a legal right to return an incorrectly supplied item, so they have not done me any favours by offering a prepaid return. What I wanted was not to be messed about and delayed when we could have found a solution if they'd been willing to take some responsibility and risk to repair the harm.] Ordered a radiator fan after checking with them twice that it was correct - I provided card details and also the VW part number of the existing fan. Fan supplied had the wrong connector. So with car jacked up on the drive I asked them if they would let me modify the connector to fit, but still be able to return if it turned out the fan didn't work. On the basis this was their error (and this route had a high chance of fixing my problem and avoiding a return). Five hours to get a reply which only asked for pictures of the fan and it's packaging and asked if I'd already fitted it (showing that they had not read or understood what I'd asked). I sent these eight minutes later. Then no reply again until the following day to say they were checking with their warehouse and the supplier if I'd received the right part. This was already blindingly obvious since the part number is printed on the fan and I'd sent them the picture. Clearly no concern for a customer with a car jacked up and another day gone by while they do something that is irrelevant and unnecessary. When they finally confirm for themselves that I've ordered and received the "right" fan, but it has an incorrect connector (No S**t Sherlock), their only answer is to return the fan - along with lots of admonishments that if I even stick the tape on the packaging in the wrong spot, they won't accept it. They confirm at this point that not only are they doing nothing to help with the issue, but don't have a suitable fan in stock. The root of this issue is the manufacturer's poor information and it's more than one manufacturer getting it wrong on this part. But that doesn't change the fact that they would not work with me to help fix the problem they've caused me. Their compatibility info. generally was a joke. Saying that a part is compatible, but to check the detailed compatibility info. which is laughably confused (e.g. talks about fans being left or right and left and right mounted when the part is actually a pair of fans in a shroud which does not have a left or right mounting etc). I could have depinned the connector and put the old one on to check - but they'd rather mess me about for two days and then send a standard email about returning the part. Tried to go with a British company here, but will use Autodoc next time - they were half the price at the time. Parts in Motion claim they're trying to be market-leading for customer service..... it must be a very low bar.
