Wow this thing is CRAP!!

Wow this thing is CRAP!!! Worked great with my first phone but as soon as I got a new device this thing went to s#*t! Even positive grid can’t figure it out. Bluetooth won’t work so I can’t even play music through it. It’s just a glorified pawn shop Crate. Eats my lunch I got rid of a very good Line6 Amplifi 60 to get this. I know a lot of people have had good luck with them but when they fail, they fail BIG! And positive grid just doesn’t give a s#*t so you will be stuck with a useless paperweight. I’m thinking I’ll run this one over with the old bulldozer we have. Might just make a YouTube video of it. Only way I’ll get any money back on a crap product

BIAS FX2 update disaster

Hello, I updated BIASFX 2 in Dec. 2023. The update completely wiped out my existing version and all the settings I had spent time tweaking. I contacted PG support in mid Dec. 2023 and I have had 27 e-mail exchanges with them in an effort to resolve this issue. Various suggestions have been put forward including uninstall/re-install but no success. When the update was announced I purchased RIFF as the current version of BIASFX was working fine. I then didn't hear from PG for approx. 6 weeks. the last suggestion, two days ago,was that I allow access to my PC by an engineer from their R&D department. Understandably I am loathe to do this for obvious security reasons. So now I have two pieces of kit, bought in good faith which are completely useless and have been a cost to me.

App Constantly Disconnects ...

Constantly disconnects from my new Samsung S22 evey minute or so......Looks like lots of other users on Reddit reporting the same issue with other Samsung mobiles S21...S22...S23 I've had the amp over a year and this also done this with my old Samsung S8 ** I followed your link in your reply to your "Automated" FAQ help and there is NOTHING about constant Disconnecting... If threre was I guess you would have provided me with a link directly to it.

Great Sound, up and coming UK Amps

I have a Spark40 and a Riff, the sound is good, interesting online features - a bit App Heavy for me, (I’ll use my Vox to go to 11) If you are a learner, you could do worse! Might not be Marshall, Orange, Fender, Blackstar or Vox - but they are getting there.

This is the biggest scam going

This is the biggest scam going We bought a positive grid spark mini amp directly from this company It basically arrived worked for about a month and then it just cuts out so much that it's impossible to use It apparently needs a software update but we don't have anything compatible to connect it to in order to give an update and they sold it to us without the correct software. Now this shambles of a company refuse to acknowledge the issue or help and so we're left out of pocket and are simply going to take them to small claims court. Warning dl not use them The forums are full of people complaining about how bad the amps are as well as their customer service. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with

Don't Buy Spark Amp

I purchased a spark amp, which stopped working after 13 months, and a new one from Guitar Center last week. My new spark amp's ASIO driver is not working, so you cannot connect it to a laptop, and the apologetic and ignorant positive grid support is not helping. They say they are aware of the issue but have no progress in fixing it, which has been going on for a long time. If you want to use it for recording, DO NOT BUY it because IT IS NOT WORKING, and positive grid support simply DOES NOT CARE. My Support Request #457107

Upgrade rip off

Just went to upgrade to elite from pro just to find out it's still the same price as a new customer. So don't upgrade. Save your money and buy it at the start or you pay double. It's a massive rip off if you can't afford it. Sort it out positive grid

The worst customer service ive ever seen.

The amp is alright, but the customer service is a disaster. Possibly the worst ive encountered in memory. I purchased two amps, because on the first purchase they told me I wouldnt receive it for weeks and I needed it at a sooner date. I tried to cancell the first order and it was impossible, so as they advised me, I should just wait for the order to arrive and then return it. I did that, and I had to pay 100€ for the return (on a 250€ amp). The return was labeled correctly but they made a mistake, and the amp CAME BACK to me. I reached out, it took almost a month to hear back from them. They sent a shipping label which I again attached and shipped the amp again. It has been a month, and I have yet to receive a refund. I have written them back multiple times since, and haven't gotten any reply. At this point, Im afraid I have los close to 400€ and don't even have the product anymore. BEWARE of this company

Avoid at all costs.

Positive grid has cost me in excess of £1000 in lost work and failed performances due to bad software, bad service and bad information over a period of six months. At this point they are still refusing to pass me to a director of customer services. The list of problems is so incredibly long that it's hard to remember it all but here's my best: * Advised me that the Bias Head was a stand alone amp. It is isn't. I bought it and then had to buy a cab. * Hundreds of instances of software failure, no real support. Replies take 24/48 hrs. * Multiple projects lost. No reason, just gone. *Crashes during performance. No apology just complicated steps given to delete and replace files manually. *Multiple days of work lost in a attempt to follow said steps with no real customer service support, just blasé emails and fobbing off. Hundreds of pounds and multiple daily earnings lost at £350 per day. * fix steps given were for wrong platform, days wasted waiting for a reply to send the right ones * Refusal to escalate to a superior * Midi doesn't work for switching due to delay, and unreliable midi bindings * Presets Dissappear at random * Forced updates lock you out of Elite subscription, this has happened at the start of performances! There's a lot more. Money I've spent to make this work: Laptop FCB1010 (their midi doesn't sync well) Bias Head (isn't what they advised) Cab (had to buy but they told me I didn't need one) Gig board (to house all this useless gear) Bias FX 2 Elite (Doesn't work as detailed) Bias Amp 2 (Redundant) Rc300 (unusable because the rest of the gear doesn't work) Scarlett 4i4 (pointless if the software isn't working) 4 channel mixer (pointless because the gear doesn't work) Spark amp for practice (pretty reliable) An entirely failed eco system. All of this gear just to get their system working and none of it is usable. The customer service department have treated me like dirt. The staff are dismissive and refuse to escalate me further. They simply send steps for a manual fix brush the rest off. This software is not ready for professional use. It doesn't stand up to frequent use. The capabilities included for live such as midi controller connections aren't seriously implemented. The staff don't care. This is a plug in with a practice amp at best. Everything else is unreliable and primed to cost you money, time and reputation. Avoid Positive Grid at all costs.

Ripped off on the website!

This review is about my extremely disappointing experience purchasing an amp directly from the positive grid website, where I was thoroughly and purposefully ripped off. The amp itself is outstanding and would have otherwise deserved 5 stars, so the story with the website is a very great shame. This is what happened. I took the purchase of the Spark Amp 40 through to the checkout stage, had added all my details, and arrived at the point where it indicated to click to go ahead with the payment. At that point, it was saying just under €300 including shipping (the same price I could have bought and had delivered from Amazon). So, I clicked to make the payment, but then, during the time it processed the payment, a little popup window came up saying “calculating taxes”, and without any possibility to intervene, the payment was taken and they had actually added this €60 in tax, to take some €360 on my card. As a professional developer of online checkout systems, one thing I can say is that to increase the payment amount AFTER the customer has clicked to pay a lesser amount — and process the payment without seeking the customer’s confirmation as to the increased amount, is entirely and consciously fraudulent, which no self-respecting DEV would agree or suggest to do. If it had happened by error in the code, it would be equally inexcusable given it involves payment. This was in the early evening, and I immediately contacted them both by reply to the order confirmation email, and through the Zen desk chat on the website. For both message submissions, I received a ticket number. In the messages I was unequivocal that the order should be cancelled (because I had been charged €60 tax in this underhand way). However, I heard nothing back from them for around 3 days, after the amp had already, by design perhaps, been dispatched. In their entirely unapologetic response, when it did come, they advised for a refund I should refuse to accept delivery of the amp when the courier arrived. However, given that Positive Grid had already demonstrated a clear-cut proclivity to cheat, that would have involved trusting they wouldn’t ultimately turn around and not refund either the shipping, or the same tax that I was robbed of, for some hidden reason. Furthermore, it is hard to get couriers out to my location — refusing the delivery likely wouldn’t have helped my case in that respect. For a supposedly American company, this has all been so very surprising, because my previous experience with American companies have all been so entirely different — I expect rather that these people aren’t Americans, but from somewhere else, where business culture is more disposed to play fast and loose with a customer’s trust. When I replied to their message further expressing my dissatisfaction, I received no response — let alone any offer to rectify the situation with some kind of compensation. The tone and content of the single reply completely ignored what I was saying about the tax being added — while a clear impression formed that dealing with disgruntled customers that have been scammed in this way was a matter of routine. Despicable.

Nice Amp ... Truly Terrible Customer Service

I bought and paid for a Spark 40 on 21/06. According to my account info the order status is 'fulfilled' and the shipping method is 'shipping'. I sent an email via the website on 25/06 to ask about the status. Guess what happened? NOTHING!! I have no idea when I'll receive my amp, the info on the website is pointless and they don't answer website queries in a timely manner. For a company that's innovated and developed such a good product (I bought a Spark Mini via Amazon in January so I know about the software etc.) their level of customer service and communication is beyond terrible. I feel they've taken my business for granted and if I had the chance to turn the clock back, I wouldn't order from them again. Unfortunately, Amazon's price is £100 higher. But at least as an Amazon customer I'd know when to expect my order. It's not just Amazon, from Ikea to John Lewis to Thomann to eBay, just about ever company I order from provides a better experience that this lot. Hopefully they'll find the time to deliver my amp soon and if it's not too inconvenient for them, they might even let me know. POSITIVE GRID!! YOUR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IS WOEFUL. DO BETTER!!!

Terrible software, even worse Customer Service

Don't even consider buying Positive Grid products if you quality or customer service. Bias FX 2 is a sub par product when working, and when it fails ( as it will when you update it) you'll lose all work , projects containing Bias FX 2 and Bias FX 2 itself. Three weeks later and customer service is so useless its borderline criminal. After paying upwards up £200 to this shoddy excuse of a company, you'll be left feeling robbed. Neural sounds better anyway. I'll be seeking advice on how to claim my money back.
