What do I do if I don’t like the painting?
Hi - easy platform... a few thoughts. (1) would be nice to have a feature to communicate with the artist to ask questions. couldn't find an easy way to do this if it does exist. (2) totally appreciate focus on fair payment - but it is a market and while artist does set price I don't think there should be a parameter around bids. artist have the ability to review any bid and negotiate directly with the seller.
The art i purchased is beautiful but what really made this experience great is that Saatchi (and the artist) were extremely responsive, true to their word and quick to resolve when an issue arose. The customer service I received was top notch.

I was a little concerned that the 2 stunning Eleni Psyllaki framed prints I ordered would not arrive exactly as I viewed them online. I ordered a painting for almost four thousand dollars. On the day it was arriving I found out it was returned to the shipper. I made several calls and finally someone called back and said that it was due to paperwork and it would be shipped again. One week later, again calling multiple times, I finally got a message it would be shipped Monday. Today is Thursday. I expected it yestrrday. It was again sent back to the shipper. I called five times! No one answered the phone or called me back. I sent an email to cancel the order. Have yet to hear from anyone. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!
This was my third purchase from Saatchi art, the first two purchases went extremely well. The last purchase was in a pending status, and after a couple weeks since I purchased on Saatchi Art the painting was still showing on the Artist’s website at a discount. I addressed all of these items and their response ignored all of my notes with respect to price differences and why it still showed up with the ability to purchase on the artists website. I’m happy with my painting, and I did receive it good condition (also the “crate” was cardboard with a 2x4 frame (not really a “crate”) but didn’t appreciate that these highlighted issues (still on artist’s website and price disparity) were not addressed at all in the response.
The painting we bought was exactly what we expected. Maybe even better! We communicated with the artist several times and they were always timely and informative.
