Gone downhill drastically.

This used to be a decent company, but in recent years they have gone downhill hugely. I've returned nearly all the clothes I've bought from them recently, due to them being very poorly made with poor quality fabric. They are never true to size anymore. Their customers service is shocking also, with ordered cancelled with no explanation. Takes ages to get a refund and their returns process is impossible.

Bought items 1 year and a half ago on credit... the amount never seems to go down on each monthly payment, so basically you give them money forever if you pay monthly. The amount keeps changing and going up ridiculous would never order again.

Placed an order totalling £32.24. Amount is on my account as pending. Went on today and they’ve taken all the amounts of all the single items out my account. So 5 separate transactions. But the full amount of £32.24 is still on pending and they tell me to contact my bank. How about take the amount out like a normal company. What company takes amounts out for single items from ONE order? One order should be ONE transaction coming out. Sending my order back and would never order again. Caused me so much hassle.

Ordered a swim dress for someone's…

Ordered a swim dress for someone's Birthday. After two weeks I heard nothing even though the website specified a delivery date but my order didn't show in my account. Decided to contact them via live chat and spoke to Ashley who said it's out of stock and no date when it will be back. I said please cancel it as it was for someone's Birthday and send me an email to confirm. I've now ordered another, more expensive swim dress,but no confirmation the first order has been cancelled!

They take at least a week to deliver your order and more than 10 days to refund! Some stuff is very cheap, synthetic, material and they are quite expensive!

The returns process is very complicated. No paperwork was sent with the order of 7 items so I went to the website and there you can only find a ream of numbers, no images like you might get with M and S for example, so you have to trawl through all of the numerous numbers on the packaging and labels to find the info. Then it doesn't distinguish between what you are sending back and what you are keeping so you have to put a piece of paper in the bag with the returns with your customer number...(nowhere to be found, not even on the online confirmation of order), saying what you are returning, ??? sorry completely lost by now. Spent all morning on a slow chatline trying to find the info, resulting in a returns label but no questions actually answered so their loss. The canvas shoes are nice so thanks for selling wide fit shoes, just sort out your admin. Hoping I get my refund now!

If I had my way I would put 0 stars this company is awful I have paid on time every month for ages no problem suddenly I get a message by the credit limit saying I can no longer order from them on contacting them after eventually answering 2 weeks later they tell me that apparently I have applied for ppi??? Which I haven’t and they no longer will let me have credit I don’t know who I’m supposed to have applied to I don’t do ppi claims never had but they refuse to listen to me so basically treating me like something they have stood in and left on they’re shoe so my advice to anyone is avoid this catalogue go for proper ones Grattan or freeman’s not cheap rubbish ones like simply b also when payment is due they put up I have 150 pound credit available I am still paying full monthly payment once it is paid they take it off again put this idiotic note underneath basically laughing in my face they are degrading me and making a joke out of it I am not going to stop paying so why fraudulently put up a credit amount available then remove it my advise don’t use them because they are liars and frauds

No quality control.

Bought a pair of shoes for next day delivery. Ordering and delivery were fine, however the shoes arrived with scuff marks on them, damage to the pu leather on one side, dirt marks on the heel and loose threads hanging from the stitching. Really poor quality and shocked someone looked at these and thought they were acceptable to send to a customer.

First and last order

I recently ordered for the first time from Simply Be. I ordered several pairs of shoes to try on for an upcoming wedding where I am bridesmaid. I returned 3 out of 4 pairs. The returns process is very complicated compared to other retailers I have used E.g. asos. Rather than selecting the items you wish to return from your order, you are directed to Royal Mail website and have to individually type out order number and the item numbers being returned. I have returned the parcel 8 days ago and am yet to receive an acknowledgment that the parcel has been received. I have contacted them about this via online chat when logged in and their bot greeted me by my name. However, when you get connected to an agent, you are asked to input all of these details including account number, which they surely have if their bot knows it is me. When you leave the chat page to get this info, the chat drops out and you have to restart the process all over again. I have then sent an email through their send a message feature, expecting a real person to look in to my query and confirm receipt of the parcel. However, I received an auto reply saying allow 10 days for acknowledgement of the parcel. This is not in line with other retailers I have returned parcels to. I am waiting for a significant amount to be credit to my account and am disheartened that I am having to wait 10 plus potentially longer to receive the funds back. Again, not in line with other competitors. Will not be using simply be again and will not be recommending to others.

I would leave no stars if possible. Absolutely disgusting and immoral company. I'm outraged at their lack of customer service they are beyond appalling. I originally ordered a pair of boots in Feb. Returned as too big. £54.00 plus postage. Returned via Evri through local shop. A couple of weeks later received a parcel from simply be with note attached saying wrong item returned. On opening the box we were disgusted and shocked to see a pair of revolting mens holey well worn trainers! Obviously contacted simply be and mostly ignored (impossible to get through on phone). So used chat online and email. Mostly ignored but when acknowledged it was clear they were insinuating I was the scammer! I've never been so outraged or insulted in my life. Needless to say I would never use this very dodgy company again and neither will anybody I know. I can now see why they have so many bad appalling reviews! I wish I'd checked beforehand!

My daughter ordered and paid for some items of underwear, she received an E Mail thanking her for the order along with a tracking number, she checked the next day only to see a note saying order cancelled with no explanation whatsoever, she then saw that the payment had been returned as a credit, she rang customer service who told her that they couldn't see any reason for the cancellation, she told them that she would not be accepting a credit and wanted an immediate refund which the advisor agreed to, I think you'd get better service from a market stall, and most probably better value as well

I have just received my recently returned item back, along with a very rude note explaining that they believe the item to have been worn, their say is final, and if I return it again they’ll have no choice but to destroy it! I am beyond outraged! I have never returned a worn item of clothing in my life. Shocking customer service

Has anyone else had issues with Simply…

Has anyone else had issues with Simply Be I placed an order with them in Oct 2023 for £211.40 when I went to pay in full there was a computer glitch and I was unsure if the payment had been taken or not. About 40mins later it was clear that the payment had gone through but the e-mail for the order they sent me somehow had the address on that I had lived at over 4 years previously. I contacted Simply Be straight away to let them know. A few days later I received a message to say the goods had been delivered. So a friend went to my old address about an hour later and said there was no parcel and no-one was living at the house it was empty. I raised a complaint with Simply Be, I was told it would be looked into. After several weeks and hearing nothing I phoned to check what was happening and was told that the enquiry had been closed, so they opened another one and was told it could take 8 weeks for an answer. In the meantime I had placed another order in November all arrived fine, no problems at all. After the 8 weeks were up, I rang again and asked what was happening. I was told the enquiry had been closed because they have proof of me accepting the parcel. Yes you’ve guessed it, they had proof of the November order and delivery. So once again I sent the e-mail of the October order, bank statements of the money coming out of my account. And still there response is your November order has been delivered. On the 11th of February I requested a subject access request. On the 17th of February I sent another e-mail to chase. And today I have sent yet another e-mail. As things currently stand, i see this as THEFT by Simply Be as they have my money, they have proof that they have my money but I still do not have the goods. Despicable to be 5 months on and NO resolution. I have asked numerous times to have this escalated to a senior manager, but nothing. My next move is to take this to trading standards and a lawyer.

Be warned you get charged for delivery (which is not cheap) whether you keep the items or not. They use Evri, who are awful and I was charged for a delivery that was not even attempted - I had to ask for it to be removed. c
