The order and discounts

The order: during the ordering process I have been offered 30% off discount 3 times and it never works. Delivery has been Ok, no problem at all. After puirchase they again offered a few times 30% discount that never works because prices kind of already discounted (£20 for 3 heads replacement!). After that they have offered Sonic Pro White Replacement Heads with 100% off! I have managed to get the code accepted and order has been confirmed and I even received the shipping notification! Guess what happened after? I received an order cancellation message... What to say? All of these not adding any good to the company image...

This brush deserves 0 stars

This brush deserves 0 stars. Paid a premium for this brush and it stopped working after 1 year. I've used oral b in the past and never had any issues after multiple years but this brush stopped working. Being marketed as a premium product, this is totally unacceptable from Spotlight Oral care UK. My recommendation is to avoid this product.

Good toothbrush but poor user experience.

The toothbrush is actually pretty good. So much so I ordered a spare. It's the rest of theprocess I find sleazy. 'Spin that wheel for "up to" 35% savings on your order'. Signs up to alerts and data farming that costs you to unsubscribe from. Why do companies insist on ruining their users experience in this way. It makes the user feel conned.

No toothbrush after almost a month

I ordered a toothbrush some extras on the 18th March. I received a confirmation saying delivery would be 3-5 working days. The extras arrived but almost a month on, I still haven't received the actual toothbrush bundle. I emailed 10 days ago asking about it and have had no reply. I've called the number and it goes to a message saying no one is available. This is really disappointing and i want my money back at this point.

Quality issues

Had such high hopes with these toothbrushes. My husband and I got one each and then a year in I bought for each of our teenagers too. Unfortunately both mine and my husbands are now faulty after less than 18 months. I was offered a 20% discount to buy new ones. For £100 toothbrush I would expect them to last longer. So sad and disappointed as love the whole design etc. Sadly will now be purchasing a different brand. UPDATE: They did eventually give me a 50% discount so I have bought another one but was not hugely thrilled. They claimed it was over the year warranty that’s why they wouldn’t replace it but a guy further down here said he got a brand new one and his was well over a year old. Clearly not the same service for all.

Quality issues

Both the toothbrush and flosser have failed within several months of purchase and needed replacement under warranty. In addition the batteries only last a few days. I think these products are poor quality and I will never buy again.

Horrendous service

Horrendous service, 10 days later still not received my product. Using donkey carrier Yodel to deliver their products. Lies after lies from Yodel. Stay well clear.

sonic toothbrush

I bought the sonic toothbrush in Nov 22 and loved it. In February 24 I had issues with charging and then the toothbrush randomly turning on! I flagged this via email to their customer services and within 2 emails a replacement was on its way. Really pleased how easy they made it and to be able to use the toothbrush again as it is a great product.

Amazing service

Amazing service, I’ve so many spot light products and loooove them all so much and my teeth have become so much whiter and healthier since being with spotlight. But i would like to thank Fiona who I was dealing with in customer care who helped me so much and was so kind!! 11/10 service couldn’t recommend them enough

Battery life poor and timer not accurate

Works fairly well but the cleaning timer of 2 minutes is variable and usually differs a great deal. Battery life is also very poor. No where near the advertised period

SLOW SERVICE IF FAULTY OR PROBLEM

If you have a faulty product or anything goes wrong with your item be warned !!! it is extremely difficult to send the item back for refund as I have been waiting before the new year for them to send me the return address AND THEY STILL HAVENT GIVEN ME THE ADDRESS FOR RETURN 8/1/24 and takes AGES for them to reply to your message in the first place. NOT HAPPY OR IMPRESSED AS THERE IS NO AFTERCARE AND THEY DONT ALLOW YOU TO RETURN FAULTY PROBLEM ITEMS BACK!!! UPDATE- SENT BACK AND STILL NO REFUND and it’s the 28/1/24

Good products, appalling direct marketing tactics.

The products are actually great but I have to write a review regarding the company's direct marketing activity, because it's ridiculous and unacceptable. They generally offer discounts quite regularly and I made a repeat purchase of toothbrush heads and whitening strips after receiving an email offering me up to 40% off in some kind of pre-Black Friday offer. Within 24 hours of making that purchase I received an email telling me I could now make a purchase from them with up to 50% off, and in the 3 week period that followed I received over 40 emails and around 7 text messages from the company offering me 50% off, or in some cases 50% plus an extra 10%. Not only is this an unacceptable amount of times to be contacted in a 3 week period, but it's also a really bad marketing strategy. These are not impulse buy products, they are something you buy when you need to replace them, and obsessively emailing your customers telling them they could now buy the things they've just bought from you at a lower price actually just pisses them off. I emailed the company about this and, ironically, have had absolutely no response, but of course they have continued to bombard me with marketing emails and texts offering me 50% off the products I just bought at 40% off. I've now blocked their number and unsubscribed from the emailing lists, which I would have preferred not to have to do because we should be able to sign up for marketing emails without being literally harrassed by a company. So - by all means buy products from Spotlight Oral Care, they are good quality and effective, but I would advise against giving them permission to contact you with offers because they absolutely abuse that permission.

Died with no explanation with no useful help from customer service

I purchased 2 Sonic toothbrushes 2 years and 10 months ago. 1 still works fine, the other has died with no explanation. Both treated the same. I contacted customer services and they told me they couldn’t do anything as there’s only a 2 year warranty. So through no fault of my own I’m left with a useless piece of plastic that will now be binned. They offered a 5% discount on a new purchase. Frankly insulting. If you want a toothbrush that lasts don’t bother with this one! And buy a well known alternative brand from a reputable outlet that is willing to actually help you if the product is faulty.

Super happy amazing product and customer service!

iv been a customer for the past couple of years but this is the first time I had to replace some heads for the toothbrush. When I went to buy I see it was £19 for 1 pack I assumed it’s only 1 head per pack so I selected 3 of them today I got my new water floss with 3 pack of the heads I opened the the pack it’s 3 in each pack not 1 I’m so happy I won’t need new ones hopefully the actual brush now last that long. Yeah supper happy thank you.

Extremely Rude un-helpful Customer Service

Extremely Rude, unprofessional and unhelpful customer service. In 15 years of ordering online. I never came across an online business whose customer service representatives are so poor. Unfortunately I decided to by a product from their website and I had an item in cart and instead of clicking apply discount button I pushed pay now button. The website didn't ask me for any confirmation and the order was place. Neither the website provide any option or one hour window for cancellation in case you place an order by mistake or change your mind. So the very second I made the mistake I drafted an e-mail for the cancellation of the order. I didn't get a reply so I drafted another email for order cancellation after 24 hours. I still didn't get a reply. On Monday I get an e-mail saying your shipment is on it's way. I again draft an e-mail reminding them the order was placed by mistake and I already send couple of email for cancellation. I finally get an e-mail back from Ornaith saying "I am afraid that once the order is dispatched from our warehouse we have no way to reclaiming it back and therefor we are unable to cancel the order." that is all I got back from them. I call their customer service and someone just casually picked up the phone without any greeting and really started off on the wrong foot. Customer service representative wasn't willing to listen to the shortcomings of they online order processing system and neither she was willing to help. Avoid this website and their products at all cost. Philips Sonicare is a much better and cheaper tooth brush. My previous one lasted 8 years. I just wanted a change but never again.

False advertising

I purchased the mystery gift set, supposedly €98 worth of products for the brilliant price of €30 BUT this is false advertising. The box I received contained the cheapest of products and wasn't really such a great bargain. I felt my gift box was missing some items and when I contacted customer service they couldn't care less. They said to return it and they would refund me but I would then have to cover the postage aswell...it wouldn't be worth my while. I did try to read the reviews on the gift box on their website but it wouldn't allow me to open the reviews.

Happy ending to an unresolved issue.

Since my previous not so great review, I have finally been able to contact spotlight via email and surprisingly quickly receiving a responce, whereby by phone virtually impossible. I am giving the rating of 4 because of not being able to contact them previously by phone. If anyone has an issue the email option appears an excellent choice. Anyhow the customer service was prompt asked me to send them a video of the problem I had and straight away sorted the problem. I am very pleased with how the issue was handled finally and happy with the results hopefully I won't have any more issues. The sonic brush itself is great so I do recommend.
