Buyer beware
I should know better than to buy shoes from a Facebook ad. Oh well. I did. And these shoes, from tallmenshoes.com aren't what I expected. One, the insert that makes you taller is at the back of the shoe only, ie, the heel. There is no similar heightening at the front, and so it's like you're walking on high heels, I'd think. Two, I wrote their Customer Support. Didn't answer the question. Wrote again. They answered. Said it was like wearing high heels until you get used to it, recommended starting with 1" then working my way up. (No thanks.) Three, their messaging on the website is VERY aggressive. I get that they want to be sure that the customer understands the process. But what I got from this is that they've had problems before and thus the almost confrontational tone of their returns page. Four, you will also learn that not only must you pay to ship the shoes back but that you have to pay now for their original shipment to you. In other words, they've installed a clear disincentive to return shoes, one that the fine print doesn't really state outright. And of course they wouldn't. They don't want these back. Learned my lesson. Hope you'll think twice before buying shoes on line from this site (or any site). Just go to the mall.
