I thought this was a good idea and sent off a bag of mainly Joules clothes. However it is so slow, I’ve sold one item and have four pending. Not a good return for me considering they sold a jacket for £40 and I get £8.50. I’ll stick to other platforms in future.

Thrift's primary aim is swift item turnover, often achieved by drastically reducing prices. However, if your goal is to profit from selling items, Thrift might not be the ideal platform, as most items sell for under £5, with sellers receiving only 10% of that amount. For instance, I received a mere 36p for a Jigsaw dress, 21p for a COS dress, and 46p for an Other Stories top, despite their good condition and reputable brands. If your priority is decluttering without concern for profit margins, then Thrift might suit your needs, akin to donating to a charity shop.
I ordered a few Thrift+ bags and decided to give them a try. After sending two big bags full of good quality clothes, most of them only used once or twice, I got to review FOUR items in total, plus clothes that were not even mine. I’m not quite sure what happened to rest of my clothes but they were branded and in a very good condition. I also ordered clothes worth of +£200, returned most of them, only to realise they lost my return. In order to survive, this company really needs to up their game with operations and logistics.
Thrift+ enables me to buy quality second hand clothes and easily return those that aren't quite right for me.
I feel like this platform is not friendly for a seller at all. I understand the charity aspect for it and that items you're selling are priced lower and the overall goal is to reduce waste and encourage sustainability, however, after sending a bag of items, that probably could've earned me around £100 on other pre-loved selling platforms, I now sit with £0.88 in my account credit, there's not a lot of clarity how the fees work, and I feel like I would rather donate those clothes to an actual charity shop than this. It probably is great to buy unique or designer pieces at a fraction of the price, but I don't think they have a sustainable module and should market themselves as a Charity Platform only. I really don't feel like I've gained anything as a seller and it was not clear around their pricings/fees module and its effects on sellers. Would not use again, unfortunately.
I purchased an item from thrift plus through EBay and was very satisfied with my experience. Item was well wrapped and arrived in good time. I Will definitely purchase from them again. Paula
"I sent four bags of clothes to the website, but they denied receiving them despite me receiving emails confirming the delivery. When I raised this issue, they claimed that they were returning the clothes to me and I have to pay a delivery fee because I had used bad language, which was not true. However, I never received my clothes back, and it doesn't make sense for them to return something they claim they never received. Later, they changed their story and claimed I never gave them my address, but I never received an email requesting this information. I asked them to either post my stuff on their website or send me the stuff back, but they refused to do either. As I had sent them over £300+ worth of items and now they are withholding my clothing. They decided to delete my account without any warning. I logged onto the website using my friend's account and noticed they were still selling my stuff, which means that they were lying to me. They did all this just to prevent me from getting a cut of the profits from selling my clothes, which is illegal."
It’s good for selling if you’re not too worried about the profits - they post you a big yellow bag, you bundle in a load of old clothes, they sort them out and list any good ones for sale then they take a cut of the profit and send you the rest. Buying-wise, I like that you can filter by brand new with tags or like new. I’ve bought 3 new-ish pair of shoes for less than a fiver each and one pair of heels was Carvela.

I love shopping at Thrift+. The items are always great quality and I've never been disappointed! I'm especially very happy with my beautiful LK Bennett silk blouse; it was such a bargain too! In their recent spring sale I've bought several tops from brands such as Crew, Oasis for only £3.50! But most importantly, I like their business concept, preventing good quality clothes going into the landfill and part of the profit goes to a seller-chosen charity! It's a no-brainer!

I find Thrift+ has taken the hard work out of recycling clothing. Ordering a bag and filling it up with all my pre-loved clothes and returning back to them, is seamless. The buying process is also quite fun, favouriting items that catches my eye and and the ability to use Thrift+ Credits to purchase is great.
