Got a defect in my tyre few months…

Got a defect in my tyre few months after purchasing brand new. Emailed them and no reply. Rang them and nobody answered for 40 minutes. No way of getting through to speak to someone that could help. Really disappointing service

Incompetent company

Booked them to fit 2 tyres for me. Had to cancel due to the fitter that did my husband’s tires causing 3 1/2 grands worth of damage to his van. Took 12 days for them to even process my refund and at the moment I still don’t have my money. Would never recommend this company to anyone

Ordered and paid for two tyres to be fitted at home . On the 8/4/24 a fabulous guy came and did the job but told me I only needed one new tyre . I was sent a new invoice the following day - a refund of £46.93 was due . I waited 7 days but nothing ! I then called and was given a case number and told to wait 3-5 days but still nothing . Another call yesterday from me to be told someone would email me but I m still waiting - awful service Order number A972B001325 Update - after another email sent refund is finally with PayPal

Great fitting service but poor…

Great fitting service but poor aftercare. I had 4 tyres fitted on 3/4. 2 days later a tyre went totally flat over 9 hrs due to what I presume to be a seal. As I was in the 30 day guarantee period I immediately emailed Halfords but got no answer. I then used their online chat system and left a message for an agent as nobody was available. I just kept pumping the tyre up. Still no joy. Today after 4 days away we've come home and the tyre is flat again so I've emailed Halfords again. Hopefully I will get an answer before my 30 day guarantee expires.

Dreadful, will never use again

Paid £262.38 for 3 tyres to be fitted on my doorstep with their mobile fitting service on 15th April. Their mechanic comes back to my door saying 'have you ever had a tyre changed on this vehicle since you've owned it'. Yes! I replied, and it was Halfords Mobile that did it. 'Well, they must've used an automatic tool to do it as they've broken your locking wheel nut look'. I was flabbergasted! He told me to buy a new one from a dealership. They are not cheap! If what he says is true, then Halfords effectively broke it and they should then play to replace it. He then went on to say he's cancelling my booking and I'll get a refund. After nearly 10 days later, I've sent numerous emails to the email address listed on their website, copied in their complaints team, plus a bunch of other email addresses of theirs (OK, I admit ALL of them, including the CEO!) Nothing! Crickets! Not a word back from them. Paypal said to contact them also via their paypal email address for refunds, not a single response, from that or the other email addresses. In my sheer frustration, I moved this to Twitter DM. Where I caringly got reassured someone would contact me 'soon'. This was told to me every single say from 16th April until the date I am writing this review. No one ever did get back to me. Not even their resolutions team. There is something seriously lacking with this company. It seems they're keen to swallow up your hundreds of pounds, but are nowhere to be seen once you require a refund. I might add that on the date and time the mechanic was here, the heavens opened, and it the heaviest rain I'd seen in years. I believe to this day he was merely trying to get out of doing the job in such torrential rain. I've suffered much stress as a result of this shoddy company, it's staff and it's lack of responsibility to its customer. I will be removing myself as a customer of theirs going forward. I was a member of their motoring plan and had every car service done with them. I will not do business with cowboys. When a customer writes in, it is good manners to have at least an auto responder reply with some kind of acknowledgement of having received the email. You get nothing. Judging by all the other terrible reviews I see I'm not alone in my judgment at the dis-service this company provides.

The technician did not show up on the…

The technician did not show up on the day of appointment despite receiving a confirmation email of the booking. I waited around all day and when I finally got through to someone they told me the booking was not valid even though Halfords had taken my money. What if my tyres were below the legal limit and I was unable to drive the car?! Or if I was an elderly person who relied on the vehicle etc. After this Halfords took an age to respond via email so I had to follow this up with their customer service team via several phone calls. Poor communication, shocking customer service and useless systems. I am aware of this happening to several others around the country also. I will not be using Halfords again. I used a local mobile fitter who did two tyres on my vehicle for 50 pound cheaper than Halfords were charging for the same tyres.

Failed to turn up, left me stuck with no car

Had a tyre fitting booked between 12-4 Sunday but didn’t turn up. They tried to call at 8:15am but i missed the call, tried to call them back but phone line closed all day (even though message said it was open 10-4) Waited in all day and they really let me down and now I can’t get to work tonight. Didn’t even try to call me again to tell me so I could sort something else out. They did manage to send an invoice at 4pm saying job complete and take the money though!! Still no call 1 day later and now called them on hold trying to get money back as I to get an emergency tyre fitting and paid much more as needed it quick. Why take orders if you can't fill them and why only try to call customer once at 8:15 and then close your phone lines.

Wasted my time, and cost me additional expense.

Made arrangements to have 4 tyres fitted, booked everything online and arranged a date with a 4 hrs window to have them fitted. I booked an afternoon of work and waited patiently for a call to let me know the fitter was on the way. To my surprise no one called. I waited until 20 minutes after the 4hr window to call the customer service team to find out what had happened and when I could expect someone. I was then told that no one was coming and that the tyres had not even been ordered. Was told that was due to a glitch as a result of a new system being implemented. I explained that I was having new tyres fitted as I was due a new Mot and as a result of this not happening I would now also have to cancel my mot and rebook causing me even more inconvenience. I asked how I would be compensated due to these issues and was told that this was not possible. All I was entitled to was a full refund, which does not compensate me for my annual leave that I had to take and also the additional time I will now have to take to get some new tyres from somewhere else and the time to re-book my mot. So if you want to be mucked around and left out of pocket then go a head and book. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Didn't arrive and now haven't given back money

I booked a tyre fitting for a morning slot. They didn't arrive. I called to see where they were and was told they couldn't get through to hub and they would let me know ETA. Gave a bit of time and didn't hear anything. I called again and was told same. Heard nothing. Gave it another hour and same happened they couldn't give an ETA. By this time whole day wasted and no indication when arrive so I cancelled. This was 11th April and still not had money back on 21st. Absolutely terrible. I've now received an email refunding 12.50. The tyre cost 131

I have used these previously

I have used these previously. Booked a Saturday and it got cancelled due to apparently not having the tyres on that day! I thought a few years on, I would try them again. Saturday booked again. Told 8am to 8pm. Got a text at 5.30pm asking me to call the main number. The guy I spoke to tried to contact the fitter. No answer! Said the fitter has tried to call me. He hadn’t. Had to re book for Monday. Hopefully they show?! Will not use again.

No response from Olivia or the ‘hub’

So after receiving a reply on this platform after my initial review of still waiting on a call back - requested numerous times in the last 3 weeks - I received a reply a week ago via my review of the company asking me to add a case ref so they could look into it - Review updated & still nothing from the company. Formal complaint seems to now be the only way to maybe get any response from the ‘hub’.

Excellent Service

Had 2 x Tyres fitted today on my Golf and the experience was totally different to the last one a few weeks ago , last time was a total disaster but this time the fitter was excellent , whole job took less than 30 minutes and he was pleasant and very professional . It looks like Tyres on the drive are back to there usual high standards . Thanks .

Brilliant. Used these guys a few times now and every time they’re spot on. Good choice of tyres, fitting times and suchlike and service from the fitters always spot on. Works out the same or even cheaper than a garage and you don’t even have to leave your house. Latest job was two tyres on our camper and done in 20 mins!!

Order not fulfilled but money still taken

Further to my last review, it seems the poor service continues. Despite Halfords cancelling the service scheduled for last Sunday (14/04/24) where they were unavailable to fulfill my order, they have still decided to take the full payment today (17/04/24). Do yourself a favour and avoid these people. I’ll now need to sit on the phone to ask why they still took the money.

Disappointing service today

Disappointing service today Booked and paid for fitting tomorrow morning as I need to use the car. Over two hours later I receive a phonecall from the company saying the order had been cancelled but they could do it Monday? I was really angry at this and made this known. The person on the phone offered no explanation or apology and just told me my money would be refunded. It was late in the day and I've struggled to get a replacement booking elsewhere Really poor attitude to a ridiculous problem that has now made things difficult for me tomorrow - don't accept bookings if you can't fulfil the order

2 bad experiences. Never again!!

Rubbish! I ordered 2 tyres to be fitted to my 2016 ford ecosport. The guy came but said he wouldn't touch them as they have plastic tpms valves fitted, and they only touch metal ones? Anyway, he offered to leave me the 2 tyres to take elsewhere to be fitted, but I refused and asked for a full refund. He made a call and said it was all sorted. He adviced me to also call myself to make sure. I later rang and a refund was approved and I recieved confirmation of this on the 6th April. I was told a full refund would be in my bank in 3 to 5 days. Today is the 17th April and still no refund recieved. I called today to be told that by some miracle, today was the day that Alex from refunds was going to look into it. Im then told that I should get it within 3 to 5 days from when this Alex OKs it. This is the 2nd time I've had halfords come out to me this year, and the first time was a farce too! the guy would not replace my battery as my immobiliser was connected to it, so I had to wait another 24 hrs for a 2nd guy to come out who then told me that the first guy could have done it no problem! Never ever again will I use this service. Halfords worcester is a joke.

Cancelled fitting and no refund

Ordered a tyre on 2nd April for fitting on 4th April. They rang midmorning and cancelled saying I was one of seven being cancelled. Now 17th April still no refund. Just rung to be told no one put the refund through. Still waiting for £101 back. Ring a local garage instead. Rung again 19th April. Still not processed. It took 19 days 7 phone calls, 3 emails to get a refund finally. Who needs that stress on top of a puncture. Never again.

Joke of a company

Placed an order online. Paid in full plus the extra for the timeslot. When the fitter arrived he brought the wrong tyres. Advised he would complete a refund so I could go elsewhere. 2 weeks later still no refund. Called up to chase the refund had not been processed. Advised it would now be processed and be with me in 2-3 days. 6 days later no refund chased again and again and no use. Customer service ignore emails and are useless on the phone, management will not speak to you so you have to speak to untrained people who cant complete simple tasks like refunds or bringing the correct tyres.

My partner placed a order for me nearly…

My partner placed a order for me nearly four weeks ago, for 2 new tyres. My partner had got the wrong size for my car. So I rang to cancel the order and to get a refund. After two calls and two promises of it being sent to urgent/top priority..... I've still not got nothing no call no email to say they are working on it. Just say what you want to hear to get you off the call it seems.
